I was out recently with my family (I’m married with 2 young boys) and we saw a 10 year old girl with a future is female shirt and my wife pointed and said how awesome that is. I asked her if it’d be cute if our boys wore the future is male shirt and she thought for a second and said no. Glad I pointed that out.

Good call. I love Alien and kill bill. Just better movies.

This is exactly how my 5 year old acts when he gets caught doing something he shouldn’t be.

If the girl would’ve told this guy BEFORE the date that she didn’t want a relationship would he still have spent $260?

I visited a friend there about 15 years ago and had a fantastic time. Crime rates were high but I was very careful. Great food and beer and my US dollars went a long way against the rand. Table mountain was beautiful too of course.

“The Wall” is not a strong enough term for her. Maybe “the dam”? I’m open to suggestions.

These are definitely entertaining but I always feel bad for the kid involved. They show them backstage and they played no part in this drama.

Haha. I just met a woman who has a degree in musical therapy. I don’t think business was booming.

I once dated a single mom for a couple of months. One Wednesday around 11pm she called just to talk. We were on the phone about 30 minutes and she kept complaining that she still had to go to the grocery store for some stuff. Finally after mentioning the store for the third time she asked me to go get her groceries (and pay for them I assume) then we’d have sex in my car. I said no and never heard from her again.

100% true. Here’s a funny example though of how women want to “save” but not at the expense of more work. We have our house cleaned twice a month at $125 per visit so $250 a month. My wife stays at home so technically she could do this work and save us this money. On the other hand I mow and maintain the lawn myself and a couple months ago I mentioned looking into a lawn service cause we’re in Texas and it’s really hot. They charge about $120 per month for weekly maintenance. She got a pensive l…

My situation wasn’t this bad but I lived with a girlfriend in my early 20s who was jobless and I’d come home at 8pm from work and the place was dirty, messy and then she’d want help cooking some insanely complicated vegetarian dinner. We wouldn’t eat until 10pm.

Definitely. Very cool. In fact I like the green pen in the second box from the bottom and second from the far right. How much for that one?

Question, I know nothing about pens. What makes some worth $45 (or more) compared to one you can get at a normal store?

Haha. True stuff. I was up early this morning to go to the gym. When I come home to make a protein shake I actually take the blender out to our back patio because it’s loud and I try not to wake her up.

Does anyone know how this situation has played out? Did she tell him? If not we need to get this out so the poor guy sees it.

I played tennis in college and we traveled with the women’s team occasionally. We’d have to wake up a lot by 6am to go get breakfast and warm up before morning matches so I saw what the girls looked like right upon waking up. It was shocking the difference between their appearance early morning and going out at night.

I think you’re spot on with the social media influence. People see others out having fun, going on trips, etc and think they’re missing out. I work in a field where most of my clients are women between 35-55 years old and just being a fly on the wall I hear them say horrible stuff that I never would’ve thought women were capable of previously. Very sorry to hear your situation but it sounds like you’re in a good spot mentally. I’ll keep a look out for some of those warning signs as well, thanks …

These stories scare me. I’ve been married to my wife for 8 years and together 12. Kids are 5 and 2. To hear your story after you’ve been together that long is horrifying. Were there any warning signs at all? Good luck going forward.

I have an acquaintance who married his high school gf. Over time she stopped caring about her appearance and gained a significant amount of weight, as in close to 100 pounds. 2 years ago he left her because he was no longer attracted to her and was heavily criticized by my wife and others. Then she dropped a lot of the weight, posted lots of pics on FB of her progress and received tons of praise. I defended him by saying maybe if she’d kept herself up he wouldn’t have left in the first place and…

As a father of 2 boys who are circumcised I wish I’d heard the arguments against it sooner. With my first who’s now 5 I didn’t hesitate to check the box for him. With my second who’s now 2 I thought about it a bit and discussed it with my wife who said it would be weird if he didn’t have the procedure. I reluctantly went along. Though now I’m firmly in the camp that it’s genital mutilation or plastic surgery for a 2 day old baby. If by some chance we have another boy I’m not letting it happen ag…

I work at an upscale private country club. There was a couple in their 50s in which the husband was an awesome guy but I couldn’t stand his snoody, argumentative wife. They lived in a townhouse right near the club so they had to drive past it to get home. One day I heard they got a divorce and momentarily I felt sorry for him, wondering how he was going to cope with the split. the next day I see him driving home in a new Mercedes convertible blasting Led Zeppelin and he looked like the happiest …

I have a female cousin who just divorced her husband (no kids). He’s unemployed but she’s not. She’s been ordered to pay alimony and everyone in my family is freaking out. I’m torn because I don’t like the guy and he’s been without a job and leaching off my cousin for a while now but it’s interesting to see how people react when the societal norm goes the other way.

I was visiting Dallas, where I grew up, with my then girlfriend. I was starving and went to a fast food Mexican place (taco bueno) I loved but hadn’t been to in years. I asked repeatedly if she wanted anything to which she said no so I proceeded to order half the menu. The food comes and it is a fucking buffet in from of me with her sitting back with nothing. Now, I’d made this a point of emphasis before that if she was hungry then order something. She starts reaching for one of my chips and I p…

About 10 years ago i worked at a gym. The girl that worked the front desk had a BF away in the army. She was always going on about nights out downtown, meeting other guys, etc. I asked her “don’t you still have a BF”? To which she said yes but also that she’s hoping he’ll propose soon. But not too soon as she wants him to keep working to get a higher army rank so he can get her a better ring. My jaw dropped and I was speechless. I was about 25 and had never heard a woman talk like that before. L…

Back in the early 90s my grandfather was in a nursing home and as a Christmas gift to his hard of hearing girlfriend who lived at the same facility, he gave her a closed captioning box for her TV. When they split up he took the box back!

I got married at a decent resort in Cancun. Only close friends and family made the trip so about 60 people total. Dollar was strong against the peso then (2011) so the whole thing was about $4k. Put it on my debit card.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
