She should condemn it forthrightly! It’s barbaric, and women are suffering and dying because of this horrible focus on female purity. We all can condemn rape culture too. But it’s not Islamaphobic to condemn female genital mutation.

Yes I do. There’s the idea that women should be weak like children and take up less space, seen but not heard. It’s all connected. Even the current trend of women being totally hairless on their bodies is part of it. The patriarchy is all about domination and children are the most vulnerable.

That’s definitely true. The Greeks as a whole put down women and confined them to the home and childbirth. They kept their love for other men. Interestingly the Greek plays show full women, with purpose and intelligence.

I agree. And it’s not like schools are set up to favor women. That’s been said, but I think it’s wrong. Schools are following a pattern that was set up long before women were allowed to be educated. I think that there’s a really negative culture around men that’s more recent. “If you like to read that means you’re gay.” It’s toxic masculinity. A know nothing attitude that’s glorified in movies and tv.
