ah yes, the example was on FB. I've had face to face encounters like that. It sucks when it's a good friend you've had for the last 2+ years and all of a sudden he feels like he needs to be an occasional dick to you for various reasons.

not all the time and i didn't like the girl. It was just a friendly group chat and in face to face, he doesn't make comments like that as much but I get that "vibe" of like friends but put down once in a while. It's not just him though. In the past with different groups of friends, I've noticed that some of my 'friends' would do the same to me and although back then I may have been easier to be picked on, I've always been confused how to respond to that.

I am interested in a FR/story--I too have fallen in this trap and sort of on my way out. I am definitely on a more "fuck it I want it therefore I will go get it" vs "I hope I didn't make _____ [insert girl/friend] to be pissed at me". However, when a friend makes a snide remark/swipe about you b/c you said something that was obvious or just like slightly off discussion, I always let it roll off me but I'm not sure if that's the right way to react. Have experienced phase III throughout most of college. And now. Have yet to see any girl come to me or anythign change. Except for one girl. But I was trying to not get her to like me....

I like this post. Of course girls my age aren't looking for doctors--which is why I don't tell them I am premed unless they really prod (What do you want to do with a biology degree?).
