Nah, it's a he says-she says situation. All he has to do is argue that the agreement was that she'll pay for everything. It ceases to be a criminal issue at that point, and reverts to a civil issue. She'll have to hire a lawyer and take him to court over the $300, which I doubt most people will do.

Yeah, I don’t blame him. I never do social events with women from my work anymore. I always informally invite my male colleagues under me, for golf during weekends, and never the women for precisely this reason. I genuinely don’t want to be alone in a massive golf course with a female subordinate.
