Except this article is about a guy suing a hospital for preforming a very legal procedure, albeit an unethical one, and winning because the hospital didn't want to deal with it anymore and settled after two years.

Circumcision is legal though and not lethal so mercury poisoning isn't really an apt comparison. I'm not questioning the morality of it, I am completely anti circumcision, I'm just saying it's a legal operation and the hospital shouldn't have had to pay up.

I agree it definitely shouldn't but I'm saying it is legal so there are no grounds to sue on.

I don't agree with this. Why is he suing the hospital, they didn't do anything wrong. His mom, who has the legal right to make all choices for him because he is underaged, decided that he should get circumcised. I am anti-circumcision but suing the hospital who gave birth to you and was just listening to your mom's request is a little too far. He wasted two years of the lives of everyone involved and only won any money because the hospital didn't want to deal with it anymore and settled. He said…
