I was in the Army. I'm a PMC for various alphabet organizations now. Another problem I have with mace is what if he's wearing something like Oakley M frames with clear lenses. Granted most criminals do not have the forethought to do this but my philosophy still remains the same, if I'm going to be carrying a defensive tool It will be something that can at least cause irreversible physical damage to an assailant if not death. I remember the talk about women in combat arms because that came on the coat tails of the DADT repeal when I was still in the army... but it never went anywhere. Why not? And also, I do not think its a good thing. The Israelis tried having women in combat units in actual combat(Many nations allow it, but these units dont actuallt see combat) and it went horribly bad.
