I have lots of nerdy friends, male and female. So yep. I don't know where myspamhere is getting the idea that a 'nerd' is an effeminate man.

Yeah, I dunno. After that revelation came about I just stopped talking and left the conversation.

I was recently told that these issues that overwhelming affect men rather than women are actually caused by oppression against women and that once women are truly equals to men, all these issues will disappear. Henceforth, we shouldn't bother discussing or complaining about the issues that affect men and instead focus on fixing the oppression of women.

Oh, I understand. When you said "Your account has been shadowbanned" I thought you were informing the person that you shadowbanned them. But really you were just letting them know that they were, in fact, shadowbanned previously for some reason. Right?

Check the username before you continue talking to this person.

As a man, it frustrates me to no end that I'm constantly vilified by the media and even people that I know personally. When I try to speak up to discuss anything, I'm immediately shut down. :(

I just wanted to point out that your thread now has the "TROLL" tag applied to it.

If only you hadn't forgotten the "/s" those downvotes would've been upvotes!

"If a male reporter said that we need better women — which is just as true — would female journalists fall all over themselves to express agreement? Nope, they’d pile all over the man who said it." No disagreement there.

From the glorious comments: "people have probably said this a millon times already, but i want the male version. Unfortunately these will be way more violent and way more drunk. But it's just more socially acceptable to point out women's craziness, of course. (P.s. these sound like actual mental illness!)"

Unrelated tidbit: IMO the majority of the fans of the Metroid series are pissed about the new, stupidly sexualized rendition of Samus. She used to be strong, silent, and badass but in the most recent game (Other M) and onward, she's shown as emotionally weak and over sexualized. :(

I think the only reason you're being downvoted is because you're being rude and making (incorrect) assumptions as to our opinions.
/r/MensRights21/03/14 07:29 PM

It's a nice sentiment, just not based in reality. I'd rather have 10 guilty rapists walk free than one innocent person falsely convicted. I whole-heartedly agree with you. It's a scary world we live in.
/r/MensRights19/03/14 04:04 PM

"Fun fact; it doesnt matter what other statistics you have, even one rapists not convicted is too many." o_o Edit: To be clear, I copy/pasted one of the comments from the blog--the quoted statement is not my opinion.

"Benenson says they are planning a number of follow-up analyses to find out if men in psychology are underrepresented yet somehow still prevent women from cooperating more.". -_-

Yeah, semantics. You knew what I meant, though. :P

It would be great to simply pay 10% more in taxes and get free health care.
/r/MensRights22/01/14 09:30 PM

Holy shit this was maddening.

Can one call the police on a judge? Seriously, I want to know what someone can do when a judge violates the law... Or does a judge's violation of the law become law?

It seems like the loud crazies have seized mainstream feminism from the sane feminists. Before I knew anything about anything I used to consider myself feminist because "of course women should be equal." But now that I see crap like OPs post, I now consider myself egalitarian. I see no need to associate with the feminist crazies.

Rape is the legal category of rape introduced in legislation in 2003. It is the penetration of the vagina, anus or mouth by a penis without consent. Is this seriously saying that one can only be raped by a penis?

I can honestly say this is the very first article I have ever seen about this topic.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
