ok. How have you come to that conclusion over time? In the old testament God punished his people because they were disobedient, ignorant and turning into the other nations around them. God may have his reasons, I know this sounds absurd, even for me. But we cannot become the Gods of our own lives. We arent Gods, we are mere fallen mortals who wish we were gods. We can advance and Explore all we want, colonising and settling on planets and solar systems, yet we are still human and are still subje…

I dont personally feel thats fine... But your viewpoint is interesting. I am aware of hormones at my age. But I want to stop jerking off to some image or video and CONNECT with a REAL person instead of wasting my time and loving someone and something that does not love me back. Society hasn't collapsed yet but that does not mean everything is ok. People have been murdering for thousands of years however society hasnt collapsed yet. We have grown or become used to it, becoming increasingly permis…

Its a form of Hedonism in a way. You connect with an Image or video, not a real being. Heres the evidence (Ik its a bit old): https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/08/divorce-rates-double-when-people-start-watching-porn#:~ Video Games dont cause violence. I play video-games and I dont go around shooting people. However sadly that is not the case for everyone, take a look at the Columbine High school shooters, they played violent video games for hours and filled their minds with it. Same happens w…

Do you believe life has a purpose and if yes/no, why? Do you believe a God would be capable of using suffering to undermine Christians and Hurt them and if so, why? Do you believe in God at all or in the existence of a higher being or that it is all simply put, mumbo jumbo?

i look at it several times a week. It is bad because it manipulates sex and distorts it, making sex to be perceived as domination over men AND women instead of love between two people. The porn industry coerce vulnerable women into it, mostly women who were trafficked. Marriages are wrecked, men would rather watch then connect with their wife and vice versa. Some of it is even DOWNRIGHT ILLEGAL. For men, the chance of divorce goes up from 5% to 10%. For women, that number jumps up from 6% to 18%…

You shouldn't be ashamed for doubting when you go to church. There are some good churches who want people to believe and have doubts in their faith to ultimately learn more. Thats the point. I talked about this in my post. Even as I waver in my faith, there are too many people who accept what they are told and Just "live" with it, including Christians and Atheists. My atheist Friends are told to believe in evolution while most Christians are told to not question and believe everything you are to…

Do You believe in a godly saviour or are WE the ultimate leaders of our destiny and salvation? Do you believe that God allows Suffering or that its human nature to cause it themselves? I would like to hear your opinion

I agree. Perhaps even though the does not mention the universe or how it was created, We still know it to be true and that it did happen. My faith has been eroding for a long time as you have said. Have you ever thought that science and faith can support each other or you dont think that is the case?

Not everyone may have the same reply and answer. Some of these replies are helpful and I did ask for help. I need help. I thought and fought it by myself yet it wasn't enough. The guilt and shame are regarding my porn use. I know its bad yet I am trapped by it. Its like a giant, a slippery slope I keep on falling down on. I need to hold on to something to believe in, I need Hope. If there is no hope, then existence is futile and we are truly insignificant. An ant in the universe.

Sometimes your instincts deceive you and your desires. Also if you dont mind me asking, what stopped you or is stopping you from believing in God?

Philosophy and perhaps even psychology interests me now. Its not what I want to do in the future as a job but as a hobby and a past time

Why fake it when I want to be real. If I fake it I wont have any motivation to be a christian. I want to believe and Trust for real. I seek to find the truth for myself, something I should have done long before, hence why I am doing it now.

My youth pastor said the same thing. So many Christians spend their lives without asking questions, being indecisive in their faith and accept anything they are told. I dont want to be like that. Its actually scary in a way. Regarding philosophy and theology, I actually got a book before lockdown from my school library about Philosophy. It was really interesting. Its quite hard know to get books from library but I still try to read up on philosophy and theology when I can

Regarding number 3, Can you not serve humanity and God at the Same Time? Or is that serving 2 masters. We Leave in this fallen world and its bound to have some influence in our lives. Also, if we are NOT the Main hero, then whats the point? Are we always going to be on the sidelines, and never make a difference. Why would God Create us when we arent even significant. Why would a God who created the whole universe care about such mortal matters? It makes us feel small and unimportant. Think about…

Regarding Number 1, when should we balance self sufficiency and reliance on God? I have always been told its either on or the other, there is no middle ground. You either completely rely on God or reject God and be self sufficient

I am starting to understand how the world works, but my perception is very grim. At school they teach you like as if you are going to work a 9 - 5 job by default and they dont teach you life skills like managing taxes and cooking. But yes I am still at School so my perception of how the world works is still very limited.

I am not trying to abandon him, I am looking for answers to my questions. Christians tell people to "just" have faith. I never understood that. How can you just have faith against all odds?

Regarding Number 4, I had. The Hypocrisy weighted down on me. I could tell my girlfriend that I loved her but yet use porn. I Reaped what I sowed. I sowed porn use and I reaped its consequences and Destruction. It still holds me now. I was betraying and hurting her and it took a toll on me. I know it was selfish, but in the long run its better for both of us to break up and deal with our own problems than dragging each other into our own mess then fall together.
