I think partially it’s a bit of luck with doctors and partially how aggressive you are at advocating for yourself. I would say it would probably be too big to be practical but small *karambit would make more sense. Something you could hide in your jacket. I think technically you can depending on the state laws. Where I am, there’s literally no knife laws so you can carry around whatever you want. Sometimes states have size limits and stuff and many don’t allow switch blades.

We live in one of the most dangerous cities in the US and we live downtown where a lot of the muggings etc happen. He’s a pretty scary lookin guy so nobody has messed with him yet. There are just as many types of knives as there are guns. He carries a boot knife, a push dagger, and a few others. switches it up depending on the day. Thankfully our state laws allow basically any knife to be carried. Places like NY don’t allow any type of weapon to be carried (legally).

I don’t have legal advice but a very similar situation happened to my husband and he lost all his friends over lies from a band of vindictive ex girlfriends on Facebook. It’s flipped his life upside down and he has severe ptsd from it. We had to move because he got death threats from strangers. It’s been absolutely horrible.
