10	There are a lot of jewelry commercials encouraging men to buy expensive gifts for the woman in their life... why is there no female equivalent to this? I think women are targeted with commercials about making yourself look younger, thinner, more voluptuous, etc. so that men will think they’re worthy of expensive gifts. There’s also still this idea in advertising that men will spend money on women, many women are not the income earner in the household, and that women will prioritize themselves and their children before spoiling their husbands.
