Did my first lifting session with a personal trainer the other day, realised how fucking weak I was. No wonder things are the way they are. Time to lift.

I agree 100% with this! I'm finally getting to the point where I'm not taking his shit anymore and need to stand up for myself. How would you suggest I proceed with the weekend work for the short term? Talk to him about it next week or just keep doing me and wait for him to come to me? Or perhaps a different approach entirely?

I'll definitely take a read of it, love me a bit of Trump. Would you suggest I talk to him about the situation (the club and coaches have expressed solely wanting me) or having him come to me (I'm leaning for this option more)?

There's quite a bit of money actually! And there's a lot more coming if we can secure this next contract, access to 900 athletes in total. But the whole thing relies on me and the work I'm willing to put in...hence why I want some things to be on my terms

Thanks, I'll definitely grab a read of those! Yeah I know what you mean about the newfound balls...but I feel like I had to take this step and finally show him I wasn't going to walked over anymore. Would you suggest I talk to him about the situation (the club and coaches have expressed solely wanting me) or having him come to me (I'm leaning for this option more)?

Thanks for the comment! I really appreciate all the advice. If you don't mind me asking what was the event that made you take the plunge? My boss makes out he always wants the best for us and looks after us, but in reality treats us all like absolute shit. Getting real close to leaving

Well I've since had a discussion with the coaches and some of the players this week and all have said they won't accept anyone from my workplace other than myself. I'm going to start an exit strategy and have that ready to go for when I finally pull the plug!

I haven't left my workplace per say, just this extra thing on the side. I agree though that I need to find another gig!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
