If you were to have that kind of leniency with the law then what's to stop the most powerful, influential, and intelligent individuals from doing it. Again the law doesn't state, if you're smart enough you get a reduced sentence. And when it comes down to it, she did something gravely wrong. Even if she is "more important"

It is a ridiculous notion that if you're smart enough, if your life is on track, that you will get lesser sentencing and you will not be sentenced to the full extent that others perpetrating similar crimes are. Violent crimes should have rigid laws and rigid sentencing to reiterate the fact that they are very serious crimes. If anything someone who is more intelligent should not get a more lenient ruling, that means it's just blatantly obvious that they knew what she was doing and knew it was wrong. It's kinda fucked that someone can be awarded damages in a courtroom when it's already been in a different one and they won't even give it the time of day because they can't get any proof. You Don't even have to really prove it in a civil case, you only have to put up a "reasonable suspicion" that a wrongdoing was commited

30 days in jail is getting off pretty easy in my opinion. She knows what the rules are. Everyone knows you can't bang an underage kid. That is a rule that shouldn't be broken by either side but both sides should be given longer sentences than 30 days. I'm not saying years but come on, she did the crime so she should do the time. It wouldn't be crazy if she was forced to serve 6 months due 3 months or something like that. A kid fucker is a kid fucker.
