I do think a man should provide for his family in the relationship, as that is the way I was raised. ​ However if the wife or just female partner is working and is a steady source of income, I see no reason whatsoever for them to help provide. In addition to this, I also see no reason for the female without a job to lay around doing nothing. A house is difficult and time-consuming to maintain. If you're going to be home all day at least work to keep the living quarters in good shape.
