Biggest thing is that you need to leave home. Obviously, if you're doing it to save money, that's really smart. There also comes a point when you need to get out and get started on the whole independence thing. If you're meeting girls, you'll do much better if you have a place of your own (or roommates that aren't your folks). A girl will see you a lot differently if she knows you have to come over to her place a lot and there's no other option.

She saw that you were refined enough to know to do that. It increased your perceived value and she was impressed which was evident in her behavior after. Just remember, that stuff is nice, but beyond what you did there it's not going to win you any favor these days. Chivalry may not be dead, but too much will kill your chances.

Same thing with Hank from Californication. The character is a total badass, but it's fiction. The guy smokes like a chimney, drinks like a fish and still has the physique of a David Duchovny. Plus, women throw themselves on him like crazy. It's TV.

That's the boat I was in with my chicks and I just didn't get it.
