This post really resonates with me. My mother married a man-child (my father) . As a consequence she took out all of her frustrations on me physically and mentally because my father refused to pay for anything; clothing, food etc, he just didn't think it was his responsibility. The treatment I received from my mother still affects me to this day. And all because she chose the wrong man. She divorced him when I was 18 but the damage has been done.

This reminds me of a time I cooked for a guy I was dating. Him: This is so nice, I usually have to cook and look after myself - sad face Me: 👀

I think it's down to how society perceives beauty. I had a HUGE nose (no medical issues) and hated it. I took the decision to have rhinoplasty in my mid 30's and I can honestly say it changed my life, people in general were/are nicer to me. Most of these people are people (men and women) that I'd known for years, the change in the dynamic of their friendship with me changed over night. It made me sad because I am the same person but the cold hard facts are that looks matter. The only people that…

I've always thought this. Did some courses at night school for plumbing and electrics a few years ago. I'm also a qualified mechanic. The more us ladies know how to do these things the less we need men to do them.

I had a date with a family friend a few years ago. I didn't find him attractive but he seemed nice and safe. I was wrong. After the date ended he tried to kiss me and got grabby I said no and pushed him away, he then started to cry pleading with me to let him fuck me. This was shocking enough but when I told my dad (lvm) his exact words were 'he was only playing'. I really wish that men took us seriously.

I agree to a certain extent. I had a match that I let lapse which he renewed for another 24 hrs. Turns out he's alright so far... he's planned all our dates and pays for everything. I'm following FDS and it's working he hasn't even had a kiss from me yet and we've been seening each other twice a week since the end of January. Wish me luck!

100% agree. Also because of these experiences I am now a mentor to any woman that wants or needs help. Let's be the change.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer. Its almost impossible to network with other women in my field. Some women I've encountered view other women as competition which is quite disheartening. However, approaching women that are in other departments can be beneficial. Most of the ladies I have become friendly with over the years are women I've chatted to while using the locker room and/or on the way to the bathroom! Silly I know but it's worked for me. Good luck for next week.

Men cannot have female friends they are not attracted to sexually. Fact. Everyone of us has a guy friend that is attracted to us, if he wasn't he wouldn't be our friend 😊

All.the.time! I'm an engineer and all my colleagues are male. My usual reaction when they start critiquing women on their looks is 'Have YOU looked in the mirror?' When most of them look down at themselves they can't see their dicks or their feet.

By the sounds of it he was a HVM until 2 years ago or was he masquerading for 28 years? I'm shook..

Thanks Sis, I am levelling up, it's a slow process. Parent, child relationships are so important and getting to the root cause of behaviour is key. Joining FDS has helped me a lot and also made me realise that I have been taking the right steps in regards to relationships of all types, I just needed confirmation. I've said this before but this sub is amazing, just WOW!

I work in a male dominated industry and used to travel a lot with my job and I've heard this countless times. Some co-workers regularly would cheat on their wives and when found out they would end up in divorce courts. One guy in particular, never hid his infidelity from his wife and had the audacity to return from one of our trips with a girlfriend in tow, with which he set up home with. He was 'blindsided' by his wife's wish for a divorce and still to this day moans about what happened to him.…

It's not, thanks for pointing this out! I get the feeling that most of the women in this community are in their twenties. I joined this community because it has empowered me as a woman but now feel that to feel empowered I need to be younger? It's never too late to turn things around ladies , we all deserve the same respect.

When I was in my 20's I took my boyfriend out for my birthday and paid for everything, petrol for his car so he could pick me up and gave him a gift... I'm 47 now and joined this sub a couple of weeks ago. I've been a pickmeisha all my life and being part of this community has been a godsend. I've fallen for love bombing, negging and everything in between. No more! Thank you FDS!
