Also 5% of leaders across ALL countries were women...let that sink in.

Dude, you literally ask me are we focusing on the US or other countries and then go on to say how we CAN talk about other countries, so which is it?....and yes I will look at the balance of how other countries treat thier men if you can actually list the balances. On the other hand, you VERY clearly do not know how our congress or senators work. Senators are a part of congress and they go on a voting basis, meaning both men and women vote on whether or not to deploy soldiers to war and then the …

Sure. But we don't have queens, princesses and empresses in America, do we? If we're talking about other countries treatment of genders, lets talk about how many countries oppress and force women into situations they don't consent to.

I'm actually not married, and I have my own job. This is 2026 not all women are depending on men for financial stability anymore. I have reason to believe you haven't interacted with many women if you still think this way. As gor arranged marriages they do happen A LOT maybe not in America but in other countries? Yeah. And if men can argue that women send men to wars because it happens in other countries, then I can argue that men still oppress women in other countries too. It's unfair that men …

You know what? Even though you men will celebrate this anyway, I seriously will leave. I joined this group to learn about your hardships but every time I mention something that may mot be 100% correct you men JUMP to say "Why are you here?" "No one asked you" blah blah. But when I made a post about how I wanted men to comment thier issues about what they had to go through as a man because I was going to write a piece on it SO MANY of you were ready to accept me here and LOVED that I was trying t…

I agree. Men in some instances have been denied bodily autonomy, but just because you have been denied it doesn't mean it's not your human right. Which is why men are out there fighting for that right. And if we want to talk specifics he ONLY said "weaponized" which can be seen differently in many perspectives... ex: one man can think his lady is weaponizing by not wanting sex or physical touch even if it's not to get her way or get something out of it. Perhaps it is just her preference. Another…

It's true though. Just like men don't owe anyone affection or intimacy either. If you don't like how a person treats you, leave them. You're allowed to state the abuse but forcing someone to give affection and intimacy isn't moral either.
/r/MensRights20/01/26 01:57 AM
-1

I never said it was morally right. Where in any of my comments did I say "We have a right to withdraw any affection so it's clearly not abuse". You won't find it because I never said so. All I said is giving someone access to your body is NOT required whether withholding is out of malice or not. If someone is being desperate enough to use sex transactionally then ypu probably shouldn't be with them. Just like if a man or woman is hitting you, you shouldn't be with that person.
/r/MensRights20/01/26 01:48 AM

His comment is about using sex to manipulate, which is agree is NOT okay, but of a person is WITHHOLDING sex that is NOT consent. I'm done explaining this to you.

Assuming someone doesn't understand a term because it doesn't fit your narrative is wild and then assuming I'm spewing brainrot and immediately quoting something you found online is even more wild. You're assuming every woman is only with men for money, but shocker some women work for thier own money. And notice how the example you gave is of a man just assuming he has a right to touch his wife's breasts just because they are together... which is the opposite of bodily autonomy, so it seems like…

If a woman or man is saying "no" even out of malice it is NOT consent.
/r/MensRights20/01/26 01:30 AM

I never disagreed that it wasn't abuse. I said everyone has a right thier bodily autonomy. If they are withholding it out of malice, leave. You can't force them to show affection genuinely. Just like you can't force a physical abuser to stop hitting you. You CAN leave though.
/r/MensRights20/01/26 01:20 AM

So divorce? That person still has a human right to decline the access to thier body, if they are doing it maliciously then you know they aren't a good person anyway and don't deserve your time.

What about Asexuals? And can we stop using our own experiences to negate the truth that autonomy no matter the situation is still a human right? If your partner is withholding sexual/physical affection, leave them and find someone who won't. If my partner didn't want to have sex with me or used it transactionally then I just wouldn't stay with him. I never disagreed that it wasn't hurtful or manipulative, I just said people have a right to thier bodies.

Men were sent to war by men. And historically the only reason MEN sent thier own gender away was because women could repopulate the dying percentage. So it was only done out of the want to survive, not because women were more cherished.

I am not disagreeing that leveraging physical/sexual affection isn't abusive. I'm saying that women or men are not obligated to it because they have bodily autonomy. No where in my comment did I disagree. I simply stated that everyone has bodily autonomy and you guys downvoted a basic human right. No matter the situation, a person does not OWE another human thier body.

The legal system is not uniformly in favor of one gender; rather, advantages show up in domain-specific, measurable ways. But watch me get down-voted AGAIN for doing ACTUAL RESEARCH instead of trying to push narratives. 95% of men are more likely to win custody cases when claiming parental alienation, women women win 80% Only 23% of mother's abuse allegations against the fathers are believed by the court. Where did I say that men do not get biased sentencing? My argument is that not EVERY woman gets a slap on the wrist and is set free, some of them HAVE to serve thier time. THIS is one of those cases. She's been charged and if our justice system isn't total dipshits she WILL serve time.

These stats are based on PROVEN cases. Ones that went to trial and were proven GUILTY. And only about 2 to 3 percent of rape cases are falsified. So even if you count out the cases that are false, men are still largely the perps. Does this mean women are angels? NO OF COURSE NOT. There's the other 20% of female offenders. The reason mens cases are high profile, is because they commit these crimes more often. You can't use stats that don't exist, you work with what you have. That's how statistics…

Change comes slowly and fearfully. How many men do you think got scared when women gained rights? Change is always going to be shocking but it must come. This is progress and yet men are still angry. But feminism was a movement specifically to free women from not being able to have jobs, own a house, get divorce without a husband's permission, go to the doctor without a husband's signature, etc. At the time men were not as oppressed as women. What does that have to do with woman being judges and thier competency at such? Also, men die more often because they work high risk jobs that most women WILL NOT be hired for. And yes! I was misguided on what a patriarchy really is and I wanted to keep the og post because it proves a lot of us young women are being raised with the wrong ideas about our country and the men who reside here. I wanted to keep my post authentic as to not hide from how I originally saw things. I believe it also shows how talking with actual men (and not hearing it from women) can teach us more than we thought.

I was talking about this exact thing with my partner!! The Titanic is something that haunts me because women and children were valued over the men. To be completely honest, I watched a show called Baby Reindeer that was based on a real man's experience with rape and harrasment and it opened a door I hadn't quite seen before: Men shared the same experiences as women too. Men don't get as many opportunities to speak about thier experiences, especially thier experiences with violent or angry women.

Oh wow. Yes, you're absolutely right. I think with the rise of technology, Feminism has been able to make the story seem one-sided when it is very obviously affecting men too. I will answer with total honesty! In past posts, I have been highly protective of women as I am a victim of SA myself. HOWEVER, I am very young and have focused on my pain for a while and yes, for a while I was angry at men. I'm getting older and I'm healing and I've realized I can't hold every man to one man's actions. I especially learned this when I got in a relationship with my partner. He has taught me so much about what it is like to be part of a gender that is constantly hated on for othe…

But if I use an attractive profile...won't that skew data? They might be nicer to me because I look more attractive. Or is that the point you are trying to make?

Feminism in modern days has skewed the original idea. Women are making it all about themselves and originally that was not the intent. I honestly wish there was a new word for both men and women to come together and say "We are tired of pitting against each other, let's fix this". I guess thats what I am hoping to do or at least start. Women have a whole movement for themselves...its time we include our brothers.... that's why I want to hear directly from you guys.

Thank you for this!! Every word is the absolute truth and I really believe everyone is too caught up in thier own troubles to realize that we are all facing the same issues they are just portrayed differently. If we can normalize just listening and not comparing or shutting down men, I think we would all realize we are part of the same club. Do you mind if I quote this in my piece??

This one is something women can not control, however.

I love this comment ❤️ and you are absolutely right. I may use this as a direct quote in my piece if you are okay with that! If not I will totally respect that. I appreciate the time you put in either way!

Already, I can see and feel how distrustful of women you guys feel but I can understand why that distrust is necessary. Women are often centering themselves and haven't really tried to peer into what men struggle with. I would like to call my piece Man Undefined and focus on how males have been ignored, undervalued and dismissed, but I feel I should ask first. Is it appropriate for me to be writing this piece and would men feel represented or insulted? I want to go forward with respect for your …

I am not from Afghanistan, but the men who have replied to my post have taught me the difference between real Patriarchy and societal norms. So I have now come to realize that I do not live in a patriarchy nor do my fellow men of western countries and to use the term "patriarchy" in modern America is a disrespectful misrepresentation! ♡

Many women throw the term "Patriarchy" around here in western countries and I've realized how insulting it is to claim patriarchy in a country where women do have freedom. Especially, when there are actual countries ruled by true patriarchy. Thank you, to all the men helping me seperate and identify the difference ♡

Is it okay that this made me laugh? Not in a "He's wrong" kind of way but in a "yeah that makes sense" kind of way???

It's a choice the individual makes when they are old enough to consent.

Thank you, so much ♡ I didn't realize that is still many states legal definition of rape and that definitely suggests that women do not rape or assault men, which we all know is NOT true. The fact that cougars are considered cool and sexy but older men get labeled immediately as groomers or pedophiles is another gender bias where male sexualization is ignored!

I am so sorry. Rape is definitely an avenue I want to explore because men aren't given safe spaces to discuss it and when they are, they are often infiltrated by hatred or dismissed. Thank you for sharing this ♡

Oh my gosh! Yes! This is one that I actually heard about not too long ago. I can't remember which country it was but they have a brutal tradition of circumcision which has led to a HUGE amount of deaths within young boys and infants! This one is honestly one of the most brutal things done to men. It should be thier choice no matter religion.

I think that goes for men and women. Dating apps aren't there for actual connection it's usually just about hooking up and finding the most attractive person.

Thank you for this! Having read this I could draw from my own life the times that men and younger boys have been underestimated. While the women and girls were hyped up. This is absolutely a bias that I hadn't really thought about. Especially, that men who harm women are dealt with much more violence and hatred than when a woman harms a man.

Thank you so much!! This is the exact kind of hidden struggles I was looking for! The violence hotline for men was one that really surprised me. It seems it runs so much deeper than I thought. Genuinely thank you for this ♡

Can I ask for clarification? I want to understand. I do realize women are cherished, in a way, for thier ability to reproduce, is this what you mean? I am not trying to be insensitive just to understand your feelings ♡

I'm hoping to genuinely debunk it. Men have had thier side of the story told for them for a long time and I'm hear to listen. Even if you need to get mad or angry! I'll listen!

Yes! And I am honestly open to any and ALL emotions that come up in this discussion! I really haven't gotten to hear from my fellow men and I've realized how misinformed a lot of it is! Thank you for taking the time to respond! I really appreciate it!

If women are misinterpreting patriarchy then we should be told so, I've always believed a patriarchy was one where men had more rights then women.

It's not fantasy I want to point out how men are expected to not feel emotion, can't defend themselves if being attacked by a woman, or any other issues men run into that often get swept under the rug. And how men are also expected to follow gender norms. I'm swear I'm just trying to hear the other sides struggles.
