Gotcha. I misunderstood what you were getting at.

I'm having trouble coming up with something to do but I'll be able to come up with 9 of them? Faster idea: Write down 9 things you want to do. Stop after writing the first one and go do it.

It's a user experience problem. Guy A gets interested in this topic, has questions about it, and goes to find the sub-reddit where he can find answers to those questions. He may not post the question, but the reason he's here is because he's interested in being more attractive to women and doesn't know how to be. Ok, so he finds /r/seduction and it looks like this is the place to be. I mean there are 20,000 people, so surely this is it. Then he reads on the sidebar that if he wants to ask his sp…

The reason the "uninteresting feel-good" topics were voted up is because those are the topics the community is interested in. The users here have a question similar to the one that was asked and vote it up to try to see it get answered. Then...the people who know what they're talking about would chime in with interesting comments and turn that fluff question into a really informative page. Contrast that with how things go now. A handful of people write 'field reports', a few people read them, an…

The problem with letting it be a noob question free-for-all is it stifles advancement and alienates the veteran posters. It also gives little to no incentive for noobs to read through the wealth of information seddit has to offer already in previous posts. Letting it be a free-for-all did not stifle advancement. This place was getting more and more popular every single day when the reddit community was able to post the things they're interested in and wondering about. Switching to focus to somet…

Dude...we're seeing less activity now than when there were like 6,000 users too. It's because of the mixed messages that are being sent about what this place is for. The overwhelming majority of those 20,000 people are here because they have questions, not because they're experts. People with questions are sent elsewhere, to a place with 5% as many people. If you want user activity to reflect the size of the community, axe askseddit, re-welcome questions, and let reddit's proven system bubble th…

I didn't get that it was suggesting not to hit on them in a club, but rather don't be used by them at a club. And what TofuTofu is getting at is that you need different tactics depending on the situation, even if you're talking to the same girl. Think of it like you're pitching to Albert Pujols. Are you going to pitch to him in the bottom of the first in a scoreless game with no runners on base the same way you would in the bottom of the 9th with runners on 1st and 2nd? You can try, but half the…

It's better than not talking to people, but in the long run in life it tends to be better to set positive goals than negative ones. But if this helps you be more social, that's awesome and good luck!

Google and pick a movie. Any movie. Go to rotten tomatoes and pick the highest rated one. Or tell her it'll be a surprise if you really don't know. You guys can figure it out when you get there if needed.

Good tips. Something that helped me....practice on your dog if you have one. Do it until you're able to do it without the dog getting anxious. Your eye contact should be soft, calm, and comforting. Dogs immediately pick up on any aggressiveness and will let you know you're doing it wrong.

Practicing in the little leagues won't prepare you for the majors. Yes it will, eventually. Everyone starts somewhere. Per your analogy, find me an MLB player who didn't play little league. Why not just go after the hotties instead? If there are no hotties then I can read or sleep. Believe it or not, but there are interesting people who happen to be unattractive. I don't want to be seen with an ugly girl. I don't want to get used to hanging out with unattractive people. This is why people think …

How about we just stick with the reddit formula, let people post whatever they want, and let the community dictate what they want to see with their voting? It was working just fine until recently. "No repeat questions" has turned into "no questions" which has turned the entire subreddit into "Journal Entries from Internet Strangers". Look how many replies the threads on the main page get. 3-15. People aren't digging this stuff and now there's nothing else to upvote since we've driven away all th…

Here's my prediction: everyone will eventually move to Askseddit since that was the format that made this place successful in the first place. /r/seduction has become a place where people post what they did that night and a handful of people go "hey, good job". It gets old way faster than questions from new people does. They're all somewhat boring, really. All the good info used to come from new people asking questions and then the rest of the group debating various outcomes. That can't happen h…

The good advise in this place tends to come as answers to questions from newcomers. Now there's no one asking questions, so there are fewer and fewer quality posts made. At what point do we shut the place down and put up a blog instead?

You think white people don't have to deal with women not making eye contact or not-so-nice facial expressions? Really? Maybe you have horrible breath. Maybe you smell like a dumpster. Maybe you're an asshole. Maybe you have dick-ish body language. Maybe your clothes are off-putting. Maybe they overheard you treating someone else poorly. Maybe they're having a bad day. Maybe a million other things. By making the immediate jump to racism you're ensuring that you absolutely won't fix the real probl…

You're making big assumptions. They make weird facial expressions when you talk so it's because they're racist? That seems like a big leap.

It's a good story and a good line, no doubt. Fleeing the scene immediately after because you're afraid "this could go really bad" seems like it would undo most of whatever attraction you just built up. For all the "I stood there like a boss" talk it seems like in the end he ran away because he was afraid. To the OP: good job spending the first 90% of the story not being intimated by someone and coming up with a witty line. Next time stick around and capitalize on it. That's all.

If you've got something that's working for you, keep going with it. That's the whole point. It's about figuring out what works for you and then doing more of that. Reggie Miller had a strange looking shot, but he managed to get it in the bucket. Maybe you're Reggie Miller.

Your first conversation is going to be about how you're nervous to even speak to her? Out of all the things in the universe to choose to talk about why would you go with that? This makes you focus even more on how nervous you are. You know when you're able to stop being nervous in nearly any situation? When you can focus on whatever task you're doing instead of your own emotions. Putting them under a giant spotlight will have the opposite effect. You want to seem confident even if you're not. Do…

I get what you're saying, but he said he's not interested in these girls. If she's trying to hook him up with her friend and he says he's got tons of stuff going on, that'll probably put a spoke in the wheel of that conversation. Responding with "It's all good, why?" will likely get the conversation where he wants it to go.

You're right. However, I've found adding the word kinda (as in "I think I kinda like you") and a grin can have the opposite effect. Watch their face when you say it. Without fail I've gotten a "wtf does kinda mean" look followed by a seeming desire to get all the way to "like" status.

I didn't say anything about standby options. If you're in a long term relationship, there are still "competitors" and you still have plenty of options. Just because you choose to be with someone for an extended period of time doesn't mean that all of your options disappear. They're still there; you're choosing to ignore them.

The mindset you need to have is "she's into me and she'd be silly to be into someone else". Girls like guys who aren't threatened by other guys. It's not some claim that she's going to go the rest of her life without being attracted to anyone else.
/r/seduction17/12/10 03:37 PM

You can explain your rationale if you choose (health/responsibility), but don't make it seem negotiable, because it shouldn't be. You can't control her reaction. All you can do is state that this is how it's going to be and let the chips fall where they fall. Or get her pregnant and get AIDS. Your call.

Bring condoms and start using them. Don't even mention it. If she asks say: "We're going to use condoms from now on" any answer "We're going to use condoms from now on" This shouldn't be a negotiation. This is your health and your future and you're possibly involving children. It shouldn't be something you waver on. If she doesn't accept it, you leave.

If you're looking for detailed tips to change your behavior you're going to need to post some dialog. Come up with a one sentence answer that doesn't sound douchey and then make the conversation about her again. Remember, you're not trying to impress her, you're trying to get her to want to impress you. People who have awesome lives tend not to need the validation of strangers - or anyone for that matter - and girls know that. Like the guy who mentioned Tiger Woods...do you think Tiger starts in…

Are you sure she's not working early afternoon (like until 1)...hanging out with someone for the early evening, and then planning to do something? That message doesn't seem particularly conclusive. Don't go chalking up a rejection before it even happens unless it's clear. Text and and tell her to come to your place (or near). If she doesn't, nothing lost, if she does, cool.

IIb. Overanalysing things. This is self-explanatory. Posters are over-analysing their situation, commenters are over-analysing with their replies. You don't say.

I don't want to speak for OP, but I doubt it was meant as literally as you're taking it. People that "challenge you to improve" effectively don't do so by asking or telling you to change a thing. They do it by improving themselves and then sharing their experiences with you. Sometimes if you want to partake in these new experiences your only choice is to improve. My guess is that OP meant it in a "learn and grow together" kind of way and not a "nag you to lose weight" sort of thing.

I'm a virgin and and only want to lose my virginity to someone special, and I was afraid she was only interested in a one night stand. This is the type of shit that will someday, hopefully, drive you in your pursuit to invent a time machine.

Very surprised you got a response. Keep rolling with it if it's working...I guess...but this is creepy. The next step is to start talking to her like a real person.
