| 1 | I've long been deeply suicidal about this. Every time I see it I spiral into self harm and drug abuse... Most people I've brought this up to simply brush it off... The last person I lamented to (and I am NOT kidding) literally told me "it's probably good men are suicidal about this."But wouldn’t that be framing guys as a product to be acquired rather than active participants in the market? I mean, it still matters who you choose, right? If a tall guy were to reject a girl like that because she’s shallow, that would mean something. And if you wanna keep the market metaphor: It would mean something in terms of supply and demand. People regardless of gender have superficial and discriminatory attitudes, because they know that they can still find enough people who are going to … | /r/MensRights | 08/12/21 09:06 PM |

The last person I lamented to (and I am NOT kidding) literally told me "it's probably good men are suicidal about this."thank you! I have to add tho that men’s rights in general is in fact a political issue (child custody, SA cases, etc.). But then again like you said, it’s shitty to assume that one side doesn’t care about it - just because many on the left are sceptical of the anti-feminist tendencies in the men’s rights movement (me included). Unfortunately we can’t change stupid people, but we can call them out when they’re being assholes. But why would you even want to date someone who thinks like that? | /r/MensRights | 05/12/21 10:38 PM |

They are being hateful, but that doesn’t imply their political position. And even if they are on the left, then that’s not the kind of people I would want to associate with. I think you shouldn’t bash people on the left for this. This is plain bigotry and it should be called out regardless of political positioning. | /r/MensRights | 05/12/21 10:28 PM |

Also, hypocrisy is a human trait that’s exhibited across all political positions (not saying that it’s good) | /r/MensRights | 05/12/21 10:21 PM |
