Even if they did say that seriously, it doesn’t counter my point that they don’t represent all feminists and are really just a loud minority. If we’re trying to fight against generalizing “all men,” how can we allow ourselves to also generalize a clearly complex group and movement? Pink and black pill feminism are clearly just types of feminism

I just read up on the mythopoetic men’s movement, and tbh I agree with a lot of it, and it’s not really different from MRAs as I know them. They believed that men were being discouraged from expressing their emotions, fathers shouldn’t be separated from their children, that men felt silenced by feminism. I know what you mean, but the comparison isn’t really fair. “Toxic masculinity” was created by men’s rights activists in the 80s and 90s to talk about stereotypes men face, not to insult or degrade men, but the opposite. It can be misused today, but it’s not a slur and doesn’t have the same origin

Not to defend all feminists bc there are shitty ones, but why are we focusing on what some random commenter says instead of actually focusing on men’s issues? The other day, I pointed out that there are some good feminists for equality, since feminists are so different and debate even each other, and that the only two men’s only domestic violence shelters in the U.S. were made by feminists. That’s not actually the definition or intent of feminism though. Of course it was initially targeted toward uplifting women, because they literally couldn’t do things like vote or go to college. Now that women have more rights, some feminists are also addressing men’s issues. Those who created the men’s DV shelters were well versed in men’s issues and feminism. They didn’t incorrectly label themselves; they’re just a type of feminist, because there are many, many types.

Wouldn’t shitty feminists be the one labelling themselves incorrectly, since they’re not adhering to the actual definition/ideas of feminism? Feminism is just such a wide term that it encompasses so many different ideas. That’s why feminists fight even among themselves. It just seems weird to me that we’re generalizing them despite them being so different and despite our not wanting to be generalized ourselves

It’s satire. Shitty satire, but satire meant to point out how people will get offended over a hashtag despite there being ongoing femicides in places like Mexico and how there’s a long history of people killing women just for being women (ex. China’s one-child policy). No one actually wants a male genocide, and it’s not feasible anyway. Women would never be able to kill us in masses like they’ve been killed. Dude, I’m all for men’s rights, but why don’t we actually discuss addressing men’s issue…
