more realistically its just the feed back loop of culture influencing the media and the media parroting back what they think viewership wants to hear. I would not argue intentionality to the actions of media figures without specific examples of intentional demonization, an example of would be anything from Jezebel but not necessarily Megan Kelly from FOX slamming some men's behavior as bad.

its unfortunate because as advocates they can get a lot done but the speed at which shit spreads "is too damn high", using best methods and data the real issues could get more support from those in this camp and men's issues could also be addressed with out blaming patriarchy benefits all around, but i find my self believing Erin Pizzey when she says many of the popular leaders are in it for money and or power considering how they treat any dissent

my issue is the generalizations like "the USA is a rape culture" i get that in the popular media that is going to be the mantra, but in the the more considered discussions the meaningless or untrue parts still come up as fact, i don't have a problem with addressing the issues that still exist but we as a society need to move past the trivial and in to the areas where the efforts can be effective

that sounds like intersectional ideology and i would not disagree with that point but in my experience they do not say that up front, but instead will start with vague terms and when you address one issue with the theory they will then bring up a different but included issue see "shifting the goal posts" if this is happening a point by point response becomes necessary but in the past i have not seen the conversation go well after that point

my understanding is that it also tends to show relatively even rate between sexes baring a few specific examples eg. physical abuse more likely for men and emotional abuse more likely for women i am aware that the rape definition leaves out the majority of men who have been raped, but that by moving that class in to rape the survey shows relative parity also can a modified CTS be good, or are the issues too deep to be corrected? also would you consider this to be at least some what valuable?

There is a Mizzou system for adjudication however it is explicit in stating that this is separate from a criminal proceeding and unless the University is required to report any of that data and follow criminal procedure I would not consider university findings as part of this analysis

the link to the UCR for university lists 15 in the state of Missouri for a total of 203,042 students we may lack a gender ratio for each of the schools individually but ill use 55% women for the sake of this example gives us 111,673 women and a total number of reported rapes at these universities of 15 assuming the 65% that go unreported we can estimate there were 45 in total for 2013 this gives us a rate of 0.04% or 1 in 2500

MY review does not take in to account the freshman dropout rate, and the transfer in and out rate, as well as graduation rate but every year the number of female students is roughly the same so if 1in5 over 4 years with 18393 enrolled each year you end up with roughly the same ratio
