Like I said to someone above, I could agree if this were a complete remake of the Star Wars franchise and none of the past films were recognized as cannon. I would completely agree with your opinion if this were a complete remake of Star Wars episode 4, and while it shares many similarities it is, after all, a sequel. If you have issues with them making the lead of the story female, or if they develop an interracial relationship, then that is not a part of MGTOW at all. It shouldn't even concern you. I have seen the movie, saw it opening night, and I will acquiesce your point that they did give the female lead more powers than were deserved when compared with the original films with Luke as a very apt comparison. Perhaps I'm wrong and this is some feminist agenda instead of a way to move the story along at a faster rate than it deserved. Yeah, I think some people are over reacting. This movie is not a feminist agenda. If we scream that at every film that decides to have a female lead or people of color we're no better than the feminists. Horseshoe theory sometimes goes full effect on this sub. Stay rational people.
