In Sound Transit in Seattle it says (on signs in the train) move for the disabled or elderly. It also the conductor or bus driver (these signs are in the buses too) can ask you too move or you can be removed from the bus. I'm bored on rides and read all the signs and policies.

The company, yes. The random people that work for them, maybe. People need jobs. I work for a billionaire and have next to nothing to show for it. It's common policy in the US to give your seat the disabled or elderly if no other seats are available near the doors of the bus or train. So according to her reasoning being a woman makes you elderly or disabled? That's counter productive to her "I'm a victim" mentality.

This is true. I mostly receive a smile and thank you when holding a door. But every one in a while I get silence or, "I can open doors myself, I'm not weak incompetent woman." These terrible assholes or bitches are out there, but most are just another human along for the ride.
