As someone who was born and raised on the east coast (NY) and just recently moved to OC (not LA but same concepts), thank you for this. This was well written and I have been wondering a lot about this over the past few weeks.

If you weren't going to do it, someone else will. 1.5 years in the relationship and you think you are the only one she has considered sleeping with outside of that relationship? Sounds like the boyfriend may be a really nice guy, but isn't what she entirely wants. Unless the boyfriend is part of the immediate circle, or somewhat a friend I care about, I would've done it.

It's tough. My roommate has got to be one of the most blue pill beta people I know. So bad that when he professed to me that his fiance cheated on him multiple times, I was not surprised one bit. I'll try and suggest subtle RP perceptions but it's always a shrug of the shoulder and an ignore of the advice.

I'm a 22 y/o in similar shoes - I'm interested in hearing how others have come about this. My life is put together well, and I'm always working towards a new goal, but I too forget to slow down and appreciate the little things (whether it's coffee or a little conversation). The feeling of conversations fading out is all too familiar.
