I had an old Crate amp that had been sitting unused for years and all the pots were really "scratchy." It was impossible to use; you'd just get a horrible popping noise if you turned a knob. So I bought a can of electronics cleaner, took it all apart and went at it. Cleaned every pot and connector. It works great now.

I had the good fortune to be able to visit there a few years ago; it is breathtakingly beautiful. I hope to be able to return some day. I spent a week in Edinburgh. After a couple days exploring the town, I enjoyed just getting on a train and traveling to some different town to walk around. Spent one afternoon in Carlisle, and the next in Stirling.
