You said it yourself, you don't want to keep dating her but your heart is getting in the way of your head. I think deep down you know what you want to do but the scariness of the situation is preventing you from ripping off the bandaid. Just tell yourself "my life is gonna suck for 5 min, an hour".... however long it takes for you to tell her this, and then you'll be thankful a week or two later.

In your circumstance, did your father ask if you understood before or after administering the punishment? I'm curious as to whether it matters or not and what positive/negatives each option might present.

The only thing you have to watch when employing this strategy is the fine line between being charming and condescending. If you can master it however, I'd imagine you can have your choice of women.
