I think the full sentence suggests that it's somehow the daughter's fault that people aren't getting their merchandise. If the OP's intention was to blame the mother, then s/he should have worded the headline differently.

If they were paying money to develop her interest in STEM, then how can anyone say, based on the evidence available, that the project has failed? STEM, after all, is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It's possible to be into STEM and not into game development. I know this view is unpopular in this sub, but I don't understand why people choose to ignore the obvious. Men are mostly interested in banging young, hot chicks and women are mostly interested in banging men of high status. I loved this interview. I don't question the truth of what she's saying, but I also wonder how many women are truly on board with the feminist agenda.
