Does the person who wrote this survey think that people who aren't hyper liberals are a bunch of white dudes in dark rooms, rubbing their hands together and disdainfully muttering "bitches" over and over? These questions are a joke.

I know how you feel, Boogie. I was 11 when something similar happened to me. I can't let my folks know, especially not now. It'd destroy my family, and I can't put my parents through that. So I grin an bear it, pretend like its all okay, just for the sake of keeping this shit together just one more day. Your never really able to heal, just come to terms with what happens and be aware of what it has done to you, so you can be mindful of how it plays tricks with your mind. For me, I know it develo…

I never bump into anyone, because I specifically avoid bumping into people. Who am I kidding, It's because I never leave the house. /s

Not really, but I've come to terms with what happened, and have resolved to make sure that this shitty thing that happened to me will not dictate how I live my life or define me. The family knows parts of it, but for the sake of their own well being I've omitted some things from them to make them not worry so much about it (my age when it happened, not telling them who did it to me). Doing things like raising awareness for male victims and making them feel like they don't have to be silent about…

Oh boy, yeah, I used to feminist, as my mom used to be one back in the late 60's, early 70's, when things were actually pretty uncool (she actually had to deal with someone violating the Fair Pay Act in regards to her). I grew up in a really small town, so I didn't have a lot of exposure to academic or "mainstream" feminism, I had the concept that there was a women's rights movement in the 60's and 70's, and a lot of ground was won, and things were actually pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty g…

Sure, if you cut out the part where I qualified why. Also, feminism =/= women. Feminism isn't a gender or sex identity, it is an ideology. Given that about only one in five women consider themselves feminists in the west

Many loud feminists -- although I admit the radical feminists are the ones now getting control of the discourse and training new feminists in their logic. My mother (and many of her friends), who was a second wave feminist, was very supportive of men, even when she was getting screwed over by some men in her life (largely some employers). She doesn't consider herself as strong as a feminist now, largely because she has seen what third wave feminism has done to her two sons. She always laments th…

Firstly, go to the police. Most rapists are sociopathic -- they will attack again. It will be hard, but we all must choose between what is right and what is easy. Don't do it for you, do it for those this person will hurt in the future if you do nothing. As one victim to another, be better than I was, be more informed that I was. Pursue justice, don't let society silence you. Secondly, you bring up an excellent point -- few people care because you were victimized by a woman. Now imagine, if you …

Represent! There are a lot more of us than you'd think. Many of us believe fervently in the idea that everyone is equal under the law. Unfortunately, moderation and the golden mean seems to be things regrettably lacking in political discourse these days. People are opening their eyes to it. If my stubbornly liberal brother can start to understand that things aren't what they seem, then things are changing.

There is no reverse racism or reverse sexism, just racism and sexism. Doesn't matter who you are prejudiced against.

Well, let's break this down, shall we? The assumption here is that all these people could have stopped a sexual assault, when really, only half of these people had any knowledge or power to do so. 1) The Best Friend. Totally has the power to change it, because she knows the person and knows what is going on. This is actually on her, like it is on everyone's friends to keep their friend safe. 2) The Bartender. Only obligation a bartender has is to make sure people are not too drunk. He has no ide…

This guy is batshit crazy. MHRAs don't want that vision of the world, they just don't want men to continue to suffer in silence.

I just end up being nice to everyone. Seems to work out better that way. No one's given me guff for it, but that's probably because I live in a small city in the Midwest US.

You may think that these women are ruthless and inconsiderate. The ones I know are far from that. More often, they still love their husbands as much as they ever did, but in a different way. They tell me how wonderful their men are and how much they respect them. They just don’t want to be married to them anymore. Read: I love you and really like the person you are and I acknowledge how good you are to me and for me, but I don't want to be bothered honor the commitment I made to you that I said …

Happened to me a few weeks ago, when I was walking over to the local community garden to water. Creepy thing was it is was a bunch of young teen girls and I'm in my mid-20s. I just ignored it and kept on walking, but it felt super uncomfortable, since there was nothing for me to do but keep going. And response I could have given would have gotten me in huge trouble.

1) Is this supposed to be satire? People on the site don't seem to be treating it as such. 2) Barnum Effect anyone?

This is not because they hate men, it is because Hasidic tradition and rules states that men should not hear women sing. It's not like they are doing it on a whim, they're doing it to follow their religion. Now, if they played before men before and now suddenly have a problem with it as to give them a publicity boost, then I would say this could be an issue. Otherwise, it's overly religious people doing what overly religious people do best -- being silly.
