A kid in my elementary school did something like this. We went to a private school where boys were required to wear pants, but girls could wear skirts. The autumn when we were around 12 it was super hot and muggy. Halloween came around, and this one kid Andy Meyer went as Little Red Riding Hood so he could wear the skirt.

The entire community benefits when women have control over their reproduction, not the least of which is less drainage on government and local resources to care for unwanted and expensive children. Fewer poor pregnant women and poor children filling up emergency rooms. Fewer hungry mouths on welfare. Greater freedom for women to pursue educational opportunities, which likewise has great benefits for society. Not to mention less crime down the line.

Oh yes of course, they are very happy together. I just never expected him to say something like that, especially since I was expecting "mentor-ish" advice since I saw him as an older, respected academic. It just made me realize that people's motivations and desires can be entirely different from what you'd think.
