Without identifying yourself, could you say what job or field this is in?

Absolutely. I've heard a lot about males being discriminated against in hiring practices for multiple industries. We need quotas to go both ways.

Can I ask you a question? I'm interested in what makes younger generations disheartened. As a 32 yo I've experienced plenty of it myself, but I'm wondering if zoomers are suffering for the same reasons, or if it's a different psychological basis. Do you feel like the depression stems from a philosophical place about the purpose of life? Or does it stem from a more practical place of just not making enough money or having opportunities, or is it something else?

I love to see someone building something that helps men's issues. Good on you. Gonna take some time today to look into the different topics in the site. One point of feedback is that it's not immediately obvious what kind of resource I can post... Like are we looking for job opportunities, or tips to achieve something, articles, or products of some kind? I'm sure I'll understand better as I get into it

Are there any other online spaces for men? Does anyone know if anything? I'm relatively new

It's not playing therapist, it's just listening and being supportive. By the way, men complain all the time about not having any connection in life, THAT is how you make connection in life. You're not going to get it from the typical woman, so I don't see any shame in being there for a fellow man. Mind you, I am not about pitty parties and feeling perpetually sorry for oneself. There's a way to support a man emotionally while also holding him accountable. The fact that men lack that skill is dir…

I recently took a break from dating, probably a long break. And I'm considering leaving my job now. I'm in the same position you're in. It just got to a point where I was too bored and depressed. I knew if I just kept doing all the right things I'd eventually get the pat on the head; maybe some woman would decide to be with me so she could get an easier ride in life, maybe I'd eventually get a senior position of respect in the company. But honestly, it just became a soulless exercise to work for…

Why do men choose to close down when they can choose to open up to each other in circles like this? It's no use bottling it up and being tough, trust me, I tried for years. I joined a men's group two weeks ago and cried there. I've been on my game ever since, more confident and strong than I ever felt when I was bottling it up. Everyone needs to find a safe space to let out their emotions, not for the sake of feeling sorry for themselves, but just to let it out - to let it be seen. I find that o…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
