3	Marrying "down" It often makes the relationship easier for the women, as one of the most difficult things you see with women interested in being "surrendered" is that they start to feel inferior with the being first mate at home and in their career. But conversely for the men its often emasculating and plenty of studies point to higher likelihood of cheating, higher divorce rates and fewer children.
