While I have to admit that the findings of this study are amazing, I don't think this has as much to do with the "containment" of boys' playstyles, as much as it has to do with lawsuits. I'm not entirely sure the author is unbiased, but the concept that the vast majority of women around the world have no need of 'modern feminism' definitely seems to stand it's ground. A good point made in the comments however, is that the wars on poverty and drugs have had a much larger impact on modern black families than slavery did.
