Yeah you two don't match. You're looking for him to change into a different person.

Once your partner calls you "stupid" or "retard" (and they mean it) then it's time to move on.

I think both being a career woman and spending time with your kids both have a time limit to them. Your kids won’t be young forever, which is why it’s important to spend time with them now. Your career also won’t be there waiting for you either. While it’s true that you can always go back and find a job, finding a good job that’s a “career” may not be an option if you’re out of the market too long. One can always argue that it’s illegal to discriminate against age, but we all know that such disc…

This is legit the best answer. You can't control whether or not he will stay attracted to you. Being with a successful man is in itself a double edge sword.

Why does religion matter? I don’t think I’ve mentioned religion hence I’m asking why you suddenly mention it If someone married you for citizenship, what’s stopping that person from divorcing you once he gets the citizenship?

Have you considered dating outside of your race? What you consider “unattractive” may not be viewed upon the same way by someone with a different set of beauty standards. It’s worked out well for many people around me. I don’t think you should date someone whom you can’t even respect though. I think the type of marriage you create would be disastrous in the long run

I think the first question I want to ask before answering your question is, why do you feel like it's a potential warning sign of a male watching anime vs a male watching sports?

Intelligence is extremely sexy. If a guy is intimidated by your intelligence, I can guarantee you that he won't be a good spouse for you. A guy who's worth your time will definitely welcome an intelligent spouse. Moreover, you shouldn't have to be someone who you're fundamentally not in order to attract someone else. Tools such as makeup and being feminine are there to enhance you. Being RPW doesn't mean that you have to stop being who you are. If you have nerdy interests or studies, you should …

"Date and marry people, not projects." What a great advice!

The comment itself isn’t anything that one necessarily needs to worry about. It simply depends on the context. For the idealist, marriage occurs when two people who are destined to be together found each other. We often hear people say that they found “the one.” It has a sense of mystical feeling, almost as if the two of you were made for each other, and that you are the missing half to each other’s whole. For the practical, marriage is between two people who wish to build a partnership together…

Every time I see a question like this, I always like to point out the sunk cost fallacy. A lot of people dwell on relationships that they've already invested time in because they felt that they've already put so much work into it and would lose out if they don't reap the benefit of that investment. This is, of course, a fallacy in decision making. Another way to think about it is the phrase, "don't chase good money after bad." With that said, what you should ask yourself right now is, say you, a…

Thanks. I just wanted to remind OP that RPW strategy only really works if the guy is worthy. To me, the whole point of RPW is to bring out the best of a man, assuming that he genuinely cares and respects you. The part that doesn't get brought up too often here is that RPW strategy will completely backfire if you're dealing with someone with cluster B personality disorder (antisocial, narcissistic, borderline). All the display of nurturing and feminine traits will just feed into their personality…

If what you're saying is true, then the answer is....you need to stop dating idiots. I don't think RPW means that you're supposed to be a doormat. It's insane to think that a woman's place is to be "subservient." This is 2020, not 1920. RPW means that you should give men the respect they deserve and not try to emasculate them. It means to respect the different roles that masculinity and femininity bring to the relationship. It doesn't mean that you should be with a captain whose hubris causes hi…

I think it depends on the standard of living that you wish to have. If you live in a high cost of living area, it would be quite difficult for a husband to support a SAHM unless he's very high earning. If you guys live in low cost of living, I think it's doable, although it would still be quite difficult to be honest. Compared to 80s, 90s, and 2000s, the wage hasn't really gone up that much, but cost of living has gone up much higher. This means that what used to work for your father may not be …

Yeah I think that's a good point. Rather than thinking, "I've wasted 5 years of my life with this guy," OP should ask, "I still have decades of my life ahead of me, how do I want to spend it and whom do I want to spend it with?"

Because your significant other may become complacent once you guys live together and not want to move the relationship to the next step. Say you guys lived together for 2-3 years happily. At that point, the question of "why even get married when we're already doing everything that married people do" becomes a reasonable excuse.

Look at it from the perspective of sunk cost fallacy. The 5 years that you've invested into him is gone. It is what it is. It shouldn't affect whether or not you continue to stay with him or not. The question that you should now be asking yourself is, if you were single TODAY at age 29, would you start dating this guy? If your answer is, "Yes if I were single, I would date him right now," then focus your energy and how to better your relationship with him. The fact that you would choose to start…

The mistake you made was that you decided to respond honestly when you could have just said, "Thanks! I'll be sure to take up on your offer!" but never actually do it. The core of this question isn't, "Am I wrong to think that my childless friend can't be a good babysitter." The answer to that is, well, you don't know until you know, and you aren't willing to find out, which is fine. You've already made up your mind about not letting her babysit your kids, and that is perfectly fine because you'…

Hey, if I didn't use the precise words I don't mind changing it. I don't really care about the downvotes either since Brock Turner did end up sexually assaulting someone so if people here are not happy with me stating that, well, too bad. I'm going to keep reminding people about "Brock Turner the Sex Offender" whenever I can.

You’re right! Let me change my comment to be more precise. Thanks for the clarification Here. Is that better?

This is a very real advice that is rarely brought up but extremely powerful in real life. Most men who are ambitious will dedicate a large portion of their 20s in building their careers so whoever they meet during this period may end up being someone they dated but unable to commit (due to lack of time or need to move to a different place). Yes, they may end up passing up on building relationships with potential women who would have been excellent mates just because the timing weren’t right. It’…

No. You just have to be okay with IVF and donor egg. Yes it is very expensive so that something you’ll have to take into account.
