Money allows you to develop “useless” talents and hobbies which makes you more interesting. That said the difference in quality of life between 80k a year and 200k is marginal. I agree it’s not necessary. If you’re cool you’ll make friends who have it

It was mostly about discovering what our boundaries were. Sometimes we didn't realize we had them until something was about to happen so it was kinda stop and go at first. As we got better about negotiating boundaries we were able to better identify the root cause of problems. It was like getting in the water. First up the knees when she let me go home with someone a couple times. Being the first to pop the having sex with other people cherry helped me overcome the whole "winner loser" mentality…

Guitar is perfect! I used to do it but had the problem of never joining other musicians so it was like “alright stop the party everyone look at me”. I highly recommend staying in stealth mode for a few months before playing for friends. Also definitely find some friends to jam with. It will become super clear what you need to practice and getting feedback from other musicians is great. I don’t really recommend a course unless you’re trying to learn music theory. Nothing gets girls wetter than ho…

If you like I’ll send you a clip in a pm. Some of the crazy in the thread has made me uncomfortable about sharing too much publicly and a video of me doing it will show a lot.

Haha closeish but a little cooler than that imo. Even if it was glow-stick dancing if you’re really skillful and use it to practice and meditate daily it could help someone who is insecure get over it. With that type of thing there’s a thin line between “this looks silly” and “this is awesome” that only can be overcome with a shitton of practice. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s all a numbers game anyways.

Frauds misrepresent themselves. I try to be as authentic as I can be and don’t feel like a fraud. I guess I haven’t been on here in the last few years to know what’s the norm for posts but I wanted to share my path. It was an unexpected direction for me and I hadn’t seen anything like it on here before and even if it helps just one person it’s worth the effort.

I’m a little insulted. I used to be on there early on and their ideas are super toxic. They really knew how to prey and amplify insecurities. If you read enough on there their world view it starts creeping in and you start to think about people in a super negative light. I started getting misogynist but not really sure why. Women being overtly sexual seemed inherently bad which was a double standard. Had to stop reading it entirely and give myself time to heal my thought patterns.

Whatever community you were in sounds shitty. Not everyone has the same experience.

Okay If you want to get technical there are no proven scientific theories only not yet disproven ones. Also I think you’re confusing theories which are generally accepted as a sound explanation and hypotheses which are more just conjectures. I get you find other people’s sexual freedom icky but using ancestors who you know nothing about living in radically different cultures and circumstances to moralize me isn’t very cool. My immediate living family are aware and fine with it. I think even the …

I guess tricks are what a whore does for money. These are techniques I’m talking about. Isn’t sharing techniques part of what this subreddit is based on? Also you ever try to get into an orgy without a plus 1? Only like 1% of guys could even get past the door let alone for people to consider having sex with you once you're there.

Maybe the Puritan ones would be disappointed. They also thought you should get married at 15 and never have premarital sex and lived in constant shame. You really care what they think? On the other hand all the thousands of years of ancestors who made our dicks into a scoop because they had so many orgys would be cool with it.

It’s a prop that can be used for fire dancing. Hence being popular at parties.

Alright I’ll narrow it down a bit. The skill is with a prop that can be used for fire dancing. Also been getting into fire breathing recently but it’s more dangerous so I haven’t been practicing as much as I should. I’ve already dropped a lot of hints about the community and it is pretty obvious if you’ve heard of it/know what it is. If you think you’ve figured it out pm me and I’ll give you the low down. I’d rather if people didn’t talk about it in this context publicly as people typically join…

Good question. I’ll try to write something up sometime this weekend. But just being aware that it is a thing helps you notice when it’s missing.

This is something I’ve considered. I have noticed theater people tend to hold opinions of themselves based on how they’re perceived. I think that fire dancing was a crutch that helped expose me to more people and feel comfortable around them. I don’t need it to socialize and hit on people any more and I attribute that to the social skills and social connections I made when I was doing it a lot. Also using my girlfriend to attract others / get invites to orgies is only one trick I use.

Yes by learning 1 skill really well it compounded a number of things I needed to do more of into one thing. Exercise, performance, meditation, personal boundary pushing, creativity and learning to move gracefully. I never would have seen myself doing this a year ago and its crazy how my whole world revolves around it now.

To continue to answer your first question. A big inspiration for choosing a single thing to become awesome at that had ripple effects in other areas of my life was a video i found on reddit. I had never seen anything like it before and I remember thinking "that is the coolest thing I've ever seen". Looked into learning it, practiced every day and soon I was rocking it!

You can't hide from yourself. You have flaws and good things about you. I recommend increasing the number and strength of good things and chipping away at the flaws until you are comfortable with who you are. It takes time, positive role models, and people who will call you on your shit. For example I used to be a little unconsciously racist and misogynistic (thanks /b/) and I had to work on recognizing that and not feeling personally attacked whenever there were conversations about it. Sorry I'…

Yes that was my problem. If I had met myself I wouldn't have thought very highly of myself
