People are often too trigger happy when it comes to downvoting on social media, which is a shame, as it can hinder discussion and destroys any potential friendly atmosphere.

But the argument usually is that women are forced into roles and expectations simply because they are women, yet the same goes for men, they are forced into roles and expectations as well. They're different but they exist nonetheless.

It's an interesting point and we're always told it was the struggle of the suffragettes that brought about women's right to vote
