What a strange thing to come clean about online to a bunch of strangers.

Reminder that your standards don't change if you seize the moment. Just make sure you stay in charge.

So many people do this. The problem is that they go along with it for too long, letting the other think they're serious to avoid being left alone, until they themselves are ready to move on, which is a really low-value move whoever makes it.

Troll. No one can be so aware of the facts, yet not see the obvious.

I don't know if it's really the porn they watch, or the things they see up close from the girls in their classroom on tiktok or something.

Never let lack of dating options make you think you don't deserve the very best!

Isn't this the default marriage arrangement, by the way? Prenup, being the legal document that stipulates the exceptions to this rule.

This is really good advice for any girl to talk to her man about as early as possible. Just say something like how they see family life. If they balk at you expecting to get half their pay to take care of the kids, drop him.

Assume men are stupid, and continuously challenge them on all their claims until the really prove themselves worthy of the assumption of competence.

Even fidelity is questionable. My life, my body. If you really love me, you'd understand.

This is the perfect breakup. No drama, no endless talking, no tears, no explanation, no nothing. Perfect.

Absolutely! The first year easily, just move on at the first sign of him not living up to your standards. No fight, no argument, just a decision and move on.

This is how relationships should start.

I think both were happy with this quick outcome.

Really? There's no way we can distinguish a truly committed man from the ones described here? I'd like to think I know people a bit better.

Yeah, but Aileen was not allowed a chance to be independent.

Thank you for explaining this. I never got this, but also wasn't going to google it.

I've fallen in this trap too many times. Not caring at first because the sex is good (enough), then waking up one day realizing you want more, only to realize slowly in the weeks to follow that he's still in the place where we both started. On the other hand, I'm happy that the earlier ones didn't want to commit when I wanted either. I think there's something about good sex that makes me think I love him.

I don't think he meant you'd have trouble finding someone to offer you dick. That's a given.

We should applaud him for disregarding society's norms! What a world that would be if we all felt free to ignore them.

> Birthdays are fucking important Me and my SO love that we both don't care about dates. It took some convincing on his side before he believed I didn't care either. Previous relationships conditioned him well, I guess.

When I find myself getting in this mood, I realize that I don't _need_ to expose myself to interactions with others. My phone is optional, my internet can be used for better things. I disconnect.

Yes, I run into this a lot. I'm right, and I know I'm right, but it just doesn't arrive. So many times at work when I have to withhold the urge to tell everyone I was right. With people outside of work, I'm less hesitant. One thing I often hear is "It doesn't matter if you're right if you can't convince people!" Hello! I've been working here for 7 years!

Also, turns out we can do pretty much anything men have always gotten credit for. Army, mines, factories, entrepreneurial stuff, fixing things around the house, lifting heavy, etc. etc..

I'd very suspicious of other women being ok to go 50/50 on dates, no matter their excuses of "I can take care of myself" and "Not setting expectations". These women make guys think that there are women out there that are interested in equality dating, and just makes it harder for us.

This is so true. No one can help but follow in one's parents footsteps, even if they've seen the endresult up close. They never saw their mothers flare up at the first demeaning, the first signs of aggression, and always thought maybe men raising their voice was normal. They know it's wrong and what it leads to, but are helpless nonetheless. Do you know of any good movies or series, that actually show how subtle abuse starts?

Seems like an obvious troll to me. Too many weird details in the writing. But anyway, the situation plausible. The problem here is that the guys doesn't seem to have many bows to his string. Taking her out to dinner is his thing, apparently. And by not indulging in the feast like he does himself, he feels she's rejecting his contribution to their relationship, and thereby him personally. That's something to talk about from both ends.

I think the threesome proposal is there just in the hopes you'll end it. When that doesn't work out, he can abide another few months.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
