I've never heared anyone say "as a man" online or irl. You haven't been to very many places. It is completely silly. Pedantic. It is an expression. Saying what she said doesn't mean she is barred from using expressions indefinitely, the only problem would be if someone did not understand the expression or if the meaning were muddled. But it's not. So there is no problem. There is no inconsistency. She is allowed to use language to communicate ideas just like everybody else.

It's a well understood expression and you're pedantic to a fault. Note that I'm not talking about fault lines in the earth that cause certain places to be prone to earthquakes. "To a fault" is also a series of words which when combined together produce an "expression", of which in this case describes a trait in a person that is undesirable due to its prominence.
