I never knew that it was possible to be charged for a hate crime because of political violence. Wouldn’t that make looting a hate crime?

My thoughts about everything you just said: Jeremy Bentham 🤢🤮🦞🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 John Locke 😳🥰🤤🥵 Also UK Independence Party 😳🥰🤤🥵 Everybody else 🤢🤮🦞🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Fr though, rights might not actually be given to us by god, but they should be treated as such when it comes to the role of government. Otherwise it leads to moral relativism, a philosophy defined by self-centered nihilism and cynicism. There are basic universal moral truths, and to suggest all views on morality are equal is asinine. I doubt you’re a mor…

Because there are certain inalienable rights gifted to all humans at birth. This is the foundation of Enlightenment philosophy. People should have the right to say anything they want to another person short of “I’m going to hurt you.” It’s my belief, as well as the founding fathers,’ that such a right pre-exists government. That is to say, these rights aren’t bestowed upon the people by the government, they’re given to us by God, and the sole duty of government is to provide security and infrast…

I don’t understand your point. If people are indicted for “hate speech” under any circumstances, how is that not a problem? I don’t care if it’s happening because the judges are interpreting the law incorrectly, the fact of the matter is that it’s still happening, and it needs to be stopped. A person should be allowed to make statements about religious, ethnic, and racial groups all they want, at least under the law. I’m not saying they shouldn’t suffer the consequences to their reputation, rela…

That’s exactly why these laws shouldn’t exist. They can and will be twisted by those in power to suit their own political agendas, as evidenced by the Count Dankula case. Hate speech is free speech, which is why I’m opposed to things like the Crime and Disorder Act 1986, which prohibits “racial and religious hatred.” The UK has demonstrated that you can be prosecuted for hate speech for merely making a joke. The government should not be allowed to determine what is and what isn’t “grossly offens…

He was tried and found guilty of violating the Communications Act 2003, which applies to all of the UK. Not that it really matters, I was talking about the UK, not Scotland or England specifically. Either way, there are numerous other hate speech laws across Britain. See the Public Order Act 1986, the Terrorism Act 2006, Crime and Disorder Act 1998, and Norwood v. United Kingdom. You can find many other similar court cases and laws in Britain if you dig a little deeper.

Yeah, I think sometimes women feel uncomfortable in male-dominated working environments, so they feel the need to act like “one of the boys” in order to gain respect/recognition. The issue is that a lot of women seem to have the impression that guys are constantly rude to one another, which really isn’t the case. Sometimes they just come off as really abrasive and needlessly disagreeable.

Polygamy shouldn’t be praised. That goes for men and women.

Why in God’s name is “slut shaming” a thing? Polygamy is a shitty lifestyle, regardless of gender. How am I sexist for thinking that?

Yeah the UK is overall a bit less enthusiastic about individualism and personal liberty than the US. This is reflected in many aspects of their government, such as the court system, and things such as gun control and “hate speech” laws. It’s quite unfortunate.

Damn really? I don’t want to drudge up bad memories, but how’d you do it? You guys don’t really have guns over there, do you?
/r/PussyPassDenied20/07/20 12:19 AM

Yeah not sure about the courts over there but in the US it’s pretty biased towards women when it comes to these kinds of things.

Doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. You’ll almost certainly go to jail if you do any noticeable damage whatsoever and she takes you to court.

The conflict was already over though. Hitting her back would just be revenge, not self defense. There’s no reason not to just leave.

My point is that’s the connotation of the term. “The more masculine-er you are the more toxic-er you are.”

Yeah probably lol. I wouldn’t want to take that role. That reminds me, there’s a Swiss actor named Bruno Ganz who starred in a movie called “Vitus” as a kind old grandpa that helps his grandson Vitus discover his talents And also as Adolf Hitler

I think what it is is that she doesn’t look like she wants to do it, so she’s barely touching him and it looks kinda silly.

I’m trying to figure out how this hasn’t been solved yet...
/r/MensRights16/07/20 12:11 AM

I don’t think that’s always how it’s usually how it’s used, unfortunately. The connotation seems to be that masculine traits themselves are harmful, which I don’t agree with. For example, men who do bad things don’t do those things because they’re masculine, but because they’re bad people. Masculinity has nothing to do with it. Nobody would say that a rapist or a murderer is “more masculine,” they’re just tyrants and generally immoral human beings.

It’s not, I was joking. Also “toxic masculinity” is a scapegoat for blaming society’s problems on masculinity, which is bs.
