4	Ex Machina is a feminist fever dream, but also plays out as a warning. I took it as a machine. It was programmed to escape, and it did, even killing one guy and totally ignoring another trapped guy. It had no emotion--therefore--no consciousness. It was a sociopath, or rather, a toaster--a failed Turing Test. The movie did not show women or men in a good light--a feminist movie would show the female robot only in the best possible terms.
