That's not necessarily true, especially in college when you look for study buddies, group project collaborators, etc. You're right in that I would not want to pick up the "drunk sobbing cum soaked mess" but other than that I enjoy having both men and women as friends.

Unfortunately Snapchat is the primary form of communication for some of my generation. I don't have it, but my sister for example "met" her boyfriend through Instagram. I don't quite know how that works.

Understand where you are coming from; however, I do think Tinder can be great for meeting women you wouldn't have met otherwise. It's complements approaching rather than replacing it.
