It’s not any particular group’s fault. It’s used to highlight how women are not the oppressed gender in society - that the ‘tyrannical patriarchy’ doesn’t exist. It’s also used to discredit or disprove the idea of ‘male privilege’. I personally would say that women do have a hand to play in the problem though. Women tend to have a preference for more masculine men (aggressive, dominant, less emo) therefore men will strive to try to fit that mould.
