Meh, there's more to this then not equal treatment etc. Regardless your views on the whole trans issue, nothing changes that they are at particular risk if placed in the wrong spot with no precautions taken. Male to female get raped a lot in male prisons, and female prisoners don't want them either, going so far as to allege constitutional violations when they are introduced. You don't have to agree with someones choices to want to not have them get raped, that's just incredibly shitty.

No it's not. You are literally taking validity of thought and tying it to immutable characteristics. Those are direct products of each other. Saying women should have equal membership based solely on gender requires you to give X group the same treatment unless you make an arbitrary distinction.

Next would be race, then orientation, then disability etc. If you start saying you have to have X characteristic to care about X people you preclude almost everyone from everything. You don't have to be black/white to have an opinion/understand black or white issues.

So you completely dismiss a clear gendered issue? What you are saying is no different than people having issue with the wage gap or racial disparity in incarceration. Boys are demonstrably doing worse in schools and as far as I know it is unclear, but why does that lessen the issue? We are constantly bombarded about women failing in STEM because they don't have other women to look up to, but boys grow up being taught by almost all women. But simply because its a mens issue it doesn't matter.

Dude, this was a completely different case. She abridged professional conduct (which is a huge deal in the legal world and even if not a criminal offence can lead to monetary sanctions and disbarment), and essentially tried to cry her way out of it on personal grounds. I am not familiar with her states exact rules, but in general what she did is not a big deal and undermines the whole system.
