3	Principles to Live By Some points in OP's post I can see where the stoicism seeps through, but really, Meditations is the antithesis of pickup. Marcus Aurelius would in many ways scorn this whole pickup game; for him, human reason was the highest good to ascribe to, and base desires such as lusting after women are to be avoided at all costs.
