Still new here, but I think the "you're really cute" part might not be the best opening line. It doesn't really start any god dialog. Perhaps go with something a little simpler. "Hey, how's it going" or talk about something relevant going on, ie teacher is boring, or homework assignment was rough etc.. Let the conversation go from there, then ask to finish the conversation over coffee sometime.
