I agree that it’s a bit overhyped but for an early 20-something who’s single, Austin is a bit of a mecca with UT and Dirty Sixth all downtown within a 3-5 mile radius. Amazing bar scene and Live Music Capital of the World. Tons of people come out from surrounding areas and colleges too. Outside of downtown, Austin is definitely very meh but being from Texas, ATX is the only city I’d live in other than my hometown.
