Not quite. You can actually create a blood sugar spike from consuming sweeteners. Even sugar free gum has been shown to create a spike in blood sugar because the body is expecting sugar. This releases insulin and prevents ketosis. I don't know heaps of the science but i've been on a ketogenic diet for about two years now. First to loose weight. Then later because it helped regulate my moods, sleeping patterns and allergies. I just turned 36 and am in better shape than I was at 25.

Yeah but this is apples and oranges. Comparing moving on from a broken relationship to moving on from being in combat are so different it's ridiculous. Break ups suck. Divorces are worse but combat? That is some serious shit. I've never served but I have quite a few friends who have. They would laugh their asses off at this crap.

I would argue that you can't and that the complexity of the environment we have created for ourselves and the complexity of the animal that we are just makes it more difficult to nail down the motivations behind an action or behavior.
