I'm as against trends as much as you. But how to you define a trend? Short hair is also a trend, it's just been going on for thousands of years. Look at the Norse Vikings of yesteryear, they all had long hair, were they following a trend? Do you have big beard hair? That's a trend. My point is that styles always come in cycles and if you are happy with how you look, then good for you. No need to belittle someone for a hairstyle.
