Yeah I agree. Like instead of working out to be fit, I see goals are to get a flat tummy or "big booty" that is in trend nowadays. And whoever doesn't fit the criteria for labelled "unhealthy" and bodyshamed in the disguise of "concern for their health"

You know, while chasing unrealistic beauty standards can be unhealthy and should not be encouraged, this post seems like it's shitting on women trying to be fit, take care of herself and build muscle. There is huge stigma around women and weight training saying it will make women look bulky and manly. And western standards have always fetisized thin and weak women, only the standard is changing now.

Why Men Love Bitches is one of my favorite. I read it as a teenager in an age gap relationship with an abusive scrote. It gave me sooooo much to think about and changed my mentality.

My ex knew I loved books but he didn't have any idea about books since he didn't read ( though he pretended to before we started dating). Then for my birthday he asked me a wishlist for my books that I wanted because he didn't know my taste. And then still ended up getting me a book written by his "friend" that is soooooo not my taste.

A hell lot of times. I clearly remember I was in class 9, and was made to sit next to most notorious guy in the class. I was disgusted. Well, turns out, he was a pretty good guy, but he made lot of jokes and disrupting the class in general. We had talked a lot and then I started getting in trouble too 😑

That's what I feel most of the times. We're in a long distance relationship. Yes, there are times when he is genuinely busy, but then again, I've been there for him more than he has been there for me. I can't open up easily, and when I do, just "hmmm", "I understand, take care of yourself baby" are just not enough, idk.

Evidence points that he's using again. But wait, what if he is not ? What if you're just being paranoid ? The reason why you're paranoid is because he ruined your trust. That's what. You should ask yourself if the trust you had can ever come back and re evaluate your relationship. I'll advice just leave him.

Child brides are still common in rural parts of India. A lot of Girls quit school during puberty because they don't have access to menstruation products. Or they have to give up education because they're of "marriageable age" or because their parents can afford only son's education. This happens. A lot. We keep hearing that women and men are equal now but the sad truth is out biology keeps letting us down.

Yeaahhh Christian Grey in Fifty Shades admitted getting off to torturing and beating brunettes because they looked like his mother. And Anna looked at a photo and she did looked like his mother. I wonder why she didn't leave him at that point. I was a pick me and somehow I lovveddd fifty shades a lot, since it was in trend and edgy. Watched the first movie in 2015. Yeah, and when she refused to move away to Boston for Derek because she wanted to stay back, their marriage almost fell apart. It was good that he died, so just before that they painted him as a good guy who left everything going on in the white house and came back for her. Otherwise he 10/10 would have cheated on her.

I blocked a guy on FB when I was 14 or so, new to the Internet. He made a fake id, wrote all sorts of rape and death threats, took my picture and wrote "prostitute" and "slut" all over it. I deleted all my pics and exited FB for good. Best part ? I don't even know who the hell he was. Just one of those random guys who sent me requests and kept messaging.

Actually not just for romantic relationships but also other relationships where you feel this might apply: THIS IS FUCKING RIDICULOUS you know they're lashing out on you because its projection and they're insecure or some other shit as to why they can't great you with respect. But it still fucking hurts. And you'll always feel why you aren't "mature" enough to handle this when yk it's not about you. Just cut them off

Oh my god the story of that GA fan is horrible. How can one not know the difference between fantasy and Reality. I also used to be a pickmeisha kind ( And maybe in some ways I still am idk) but still I grew up not on this stuff ( mostly because I got an android phone and stable internet when I turned 18 lol, and I'm 22 now ) One thing I noticed about myself is that I became kind of depressed when I binged watched on GA and other shows like it. I agree with you. His explanation for cheating on both of them and lying was, "it was like I was drowning and you like coming up for a breath of fresh air" I remember being so WOWed by their chemistry and all. He also treated his wife and Meredith like a whore, yk. And when it showed the back story of both of them, it showed that Derek had become so frustrated and irritable with life that Addison was feeling trapped. He never talked to her and was always in a bad mood. Ugh, I so much wished I ha…

That's true. They are family friends so I'm thinking of cutting them off. Basically stop going to each other's houses ( whose frequency has been almost nil. After the pandemic) and blocking them on social media.

Me too. I have been overweight since childhood ( but not that much now that I look in photos. Just normal baby fat) but somehow people feel free to comment "eat less or you'll get fat" as a joke. Even if i visit family friends I am the butt of all jokes because guess what, I am the only girl and I am fat. Also the Mark and Lexie storyline. I love them both together (because how they both love each other and they're both good looking and smart) but that age gap is ewww. Also, they showed Mark and Lexie's age gap issue some light but there was also significant age gap between Meredith and Derek. He wasn't even divorced when he met her.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Hope you are doing fine now. I know how it feels to know everything that you should do but you still do anyways because sometimes you're vulnerable and don't think you deserve better. Remember that people are going to tell you that you should have been careful and all that, but see, this shouldn't have happened. This kind of shit is why I'm such a stuck up kind when it comes to money. This has not happened to me when it comes to dates ( thank God I haven't dated much yet lol) but I've had roommates who ask for "treat". I was usually very generous with them, but when it came to them, they'll split the bill, to every penny. Keep in mind we had very similar financials. In no way they were ever in a position where they'll starve if they were a little bit more generous than that. Plus I now am very shameless…

Truueee. Though I'm glad I don't take it personally anymore. Up until a few years ago, someone saying bad things to my face would have destroyed my self esteem ( and it did) but now its just like trash admitting that I'm trash. A guy who is my Father's friend's son, who is like my older brother since we were in school, has just turned into complete weirdo. He doesn't work, though he studies in his room. I think that is how movies potray the women at power. It overall tries to give the message, "look. This is how they act when they are in power. Entitled, and unreasonable. This is why we opress women. They are little evils who must be controlled or they wreak havoc on everybody"

Even better, maintain a journal and write your boundaries and all down everyday. Also write down the things you think you should look away from, because "he is such a nice guy". When you write all that down, few minutes later it will start to make sense and you'll be like, "what was I even thinking?" I have maintained a journal for a long time, it got me past through heartbreaks, failures, and other stuff that I couldn't talk to anyone about. Hope this helps :)

While we were breaking up, my NVM gave me a 🤡 advice : if you go for a guy that looks better than you, write it in a stamp paper and take my signature, he will 100% cheat on you. In general, people who engage with one person when they are with another person, like a friend or something, should at least say Hi. It seems quiet rude to me, like you're with a friend and someone your friend knows ( or maybe not). The other person has to just stare blankly and waste their time standing with their friend. The least that can be done is, say hi. It's not just a neg tactic it's just plain rude.

Dating someone outside your social class is not very practical In case of dating up :- Incompatibility Family issues ( there is a lot of truth in crazy rich Asians, except the happy ending. It's never happy. You'll be taunted all your life) Why is the man wanting to date YOU? There must be something in him that he can't find a woman in his same social circle He probably will have a lot of power, so if things turn hostile, he can ruin your life ( depending on how powerful he and his family is) In…

See I'm all for being brave and all, but if you come across a very aggressive person, please pray nice and get out of there. Best way to deal with a conflict is to avoid it. What the other person is going to do depends on him. If you raise your voice and go against him, maybe he will back off thinking you should not be messed with. Or maybe he will become more aggressive, stalk you or maybe wait for a chance possibly with a weapon to attack you. I have read numerous stories of this happening, so…

Yuppp. Men of color have deep ingrained hate for dark skin. They wouldn't stop comparing us to white girls with totally different beauty standards. Even though they have the same skin color and the child they'll have will also have the same skin color.

He is a huge a-hole. Master manipulator. I later learned that he only goes for young girls. And how he convinced me to never tell about us to any of our friends because he is "concerned" about me, saying people would call ME a gold digger 🤣 I still told my friends, though I revealed as little as possible. They now know everything and hate him to the core.

Now later when I'm happy and in a relationship with my bf, he comes back. This scrote doesn't even say hi, he just texts something that sounds like its very important and that he has texted me out of mistake. Being naive, I always texted back, and he'll be like, "Ohhh sorry, I have a client with the same name and by mistake I texted you. Btw how are you doing ?" I aske…

They should go read erotica books written by women. Or just simple chick-flicks. Those have very nice vivid descriptions of how men are desired. But yeah, they should HAVE something to be desired. And it's not that men are not desired, it's just that they are not overly sexualized or treated as commodity.

Standard shaming and all. Even thinking of that makes me cringe.

Let's not make so much fun of her. Most of us may have been a pick-me at some point in their lives. Maybe she's realizing how unfair it has been to her. Also, her man's treatment of her shows the reason why she has this kind of attitude.

Me too. But I know my family is more modern and they hate violence and all, so I'd rather pay off someone and handle it myself
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/05/21 05:21 AM

That's not good either
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/05/21 05:20 AM

They are raised with the mentality that they have to be homely, submissive, sacrificing and always ready to serve others. Also they are very harshly judged for everything, like their weight, skin color, cooking skills, etc. Most of them have a very low self esteem. An unmarried girl over 25 is a "burden" and if she stays unmarried forever parents "failed" because it was their duty to get her married off to someone. Nowadays situation is a little bit better in the city side but on the rural areas…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/05/21 05:16 AM

Yeaaaahhh nowadays they want a working wife to support the family but also want dowry 😂

Yeaaahhh I have been thinking about it for quiet some time 😂

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/05/21 05:04 AM

Don't have a "meeting" where you are going to explain all this. Just ghost him. Plain and simple. If that's not easy, stop talking little by little.

It's like boys of this generation have inherited bad qualities of both east and west. Want a traditional virgin light skinned wife but also want hard bdsm sex 😂 should also cook and clean and serve my mom because FaMiLy IS iMpoRtAnT This shit only makes me want to stay unmarried forever

Why would rich men hate gold diggers. They have money and the said 'gold diggers' would be lining up for him. It's only the men without any money or anything to offer hate gold diggers. They can't handle that all these rich men are taking away their "share" of women lol

Yeah and only excuse was 'Vampires kids grow up really fast'. It is like the author wanted to create this toxic love triangle but felt bad for her dear Jacob to end up alone. And then she thought, wait? How can I make this more problematic ? Okay, let's give him a soulmate too 😍 Bella's infant daughter 😍😍😍😍

It's YOLO only when u know you have only got one life so better not reduce your lifespan by getting you into all this shit. Take care of yourself and make a better future for yourself. I'm so sick of this generation saying YOLO in order to justify their behavior. Like yeah?! I know I have only got one life. That's why I am not throwing it away like this.

My ex was also stalking me even one year after the breakup. I made my account private and then made another account for my social media page, where I don't share much of my life and face, just relevant info. He even crept up there with a new account. After I messaged "thanks for following me.." Did I notice he in in fact my ex. He even sent a follow request to my mom. Since I operated my mom's account, I blocked him and he got a lot of abuses.

Do you guys consider smoking weed and being into certain drugs and all.repulsive ? Like I don't wanna lifestyle-shame someone and I don't have any problem with people that do.. But I would just prefer someone who doesn't smoke and drink. Explaining further, I come from a conservative society where all this is shameful to do. I am very open-minded, and I wanted to try all this once myself. I have also tried alcohol once. But now, it seems I don't like all this stuff and it is becoming a deal-brea…

No.. It's not like I love dressing up everyday. Just occasionally. And we don't dress up hypersexalized version of ourselves. I just like looking good and feeling good sometimes. That's normal I guess.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/05/21 04:16 PM

I wouldn't go that extreme... Like.. No implants and all.. But yeah, I would still dress nice and wear makeup. My friends and I love it.

Isn't it really obvious ? If we all just start being honest to ourselves and others, we won't have to waste money and time on preforming these stupid researches. It is treated more like a conflicted topic rather than a really obvious fact 😂

I agree. There was a time when I wanted to be "cool" and I hanged out with mostly guys. It wasn't like I didn't have girl friends, but some shit happened between us, and we all drifted apart and I was very alone too. I noticed that I had become such a pick me. I wasn't like that before. But when before that I was among girl friends who were very toxic ( one of them was practically a bully - pointed out each of my body flaw, I ate very little yet she was like "how can you eat so much oh my god. /r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/04/21 04:57 AM

Hahaha yes, I do this too lol. It's the only effective way to deal with scrotes I think. Usually here it is very much "respect your elders" and all so you can't just call everyone out or you will be painted as a b***h. Also, scrotes ego get hurt very easily, so I stay very careful not to upset anyone that much.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/04/21 04:56 AM

Yeah that is also a good point. Although I usually sense when they are just trying to waste my time, so in that case I usually don't communicate. These things don't happen very often though. Men around me are pretty good tbh.

I think anyone older than 3/4 years is wayyy too old. And this law doesn't even apply when you're in your teens. Should ONLY date someone of your age. Better don't date at all.

Again... The greedy and manipulative people in the power came and twisted the narrative in their own favor. You'll see the photos of naked goddesses all over the 1000+ year old hindu temples.. Its the celebration of feminine beauty. And the see how the society slut shames a woman who even dares to show the cleavage. It's pathetic what people in power has done to the society.

They care about "compatibility" when it comes to sex because they have got nothing to lose. Its the girl that becomes pregnant, has infections, or gets slut shamed, or worse, gets abused or murdered. No thanks. I'd rather be labeled a prude.

I am very lucky to have found friends who are very confident and No-BS. Friends I had in Highschool were so shitty, they judged everything by looks, and were some form of pick-me girls. I used to be very studious and career-focused girl, but then I got very low self esteem and insecurities at that time that I became a "cool girl" to compensate for my lack of hotness and all. In college, the friends I have are so supportive and nice. We are still confused as to what to do in life, but still, all …

Find him on LinkedIn and contact his employer. Send this ss to him and make then aware what kind of predators they have in their organization. I saw someone did that with a person that has been harassing them online. Idk if the organization took action or not, but they replied to the person who complained and said they will look into the matter. However, they will be forced to look into the matter I you make it public. Don't let him get away

In my experience, HVM do this. Only people who don't ask is usually the people you're not THAT close with (even though I've had such friends who're not that close but still ask to text when I get home safe) or people who do not care about you. HVM do have a protective instinct when it comes to women in their life. They treat her as an equal only but know what disadvantages they face as a woman.

Which is why women, we must strive for greatness.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/04/21 05:22 AM
12

Oooohhh sorry I misunderstood 😅 Yeaahhh I feel bad for her how she is sharing some worst moments of her life and she also has "sorry I don't wanna bother you people thanks for listening" energy. She must have had a really low self esteem. I feel so bad for her.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/04/21 12:50 PM

It is not small and innocent if he was feeding her slugs. I would snap the man in half if I could, had I been in her place. Goddamn how much have we lowered the standards for men ? "He must not have murderous tendencies, haha"
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/04/21 12:39 PM

Yeah that is also very true. They match compatibility and status, and do a background check on the families before involving their sons and daughters. My extended family does the same. Its a good community here. Even very distant relatives will provide whatever help they can to get information about the family one is going to associate with, beforehand. But honestly speaking, there aren't a lot of families who have a daughter's best interests in mind. They just see them as a 'burden' and want to…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/04/21 12:36 PM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/04/21 12:30 PM

Yeah same in my family too. My mom or aunts won't show prospects that are not good enough.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/04/21 12:22 PM

You feel like this because it IS. It is very hard to actually find decent families in arrange marriage scenarios who would NOT treat their daughter-in-law like slaves, expecting her to do all of the housework, be well groomed and also hold a job, and NOT harass her and her family for dowry. South Asian here. Also, if you do end up finding a decent man and family, always do background check on them. Hit up all your distant relatives and get whatever information you can find. Also, clear the confu…

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/04/21 12:13 PM

"Do it without wanting to" Hahahahaha that is exactly what my family does 😂😂 It baffles me that there are people out there who really disrespect their parents like that. Its not like my parents are authoritarian. They treat us like equals, and we have long discussions on important matters of the house and our input is always taken, whether is buying a sofa or some other major thing. But they also wouldn't take any shit 😂 Can't really even raise my voice at them without getting a death stare
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/04/21 12:11 PM
17

I would do the same sis. Even reading this makes me so angry. This guy sounds like a pathetic villain in a true crime documentary, and I can't believe this girl is still trying to "understand" his behavior. I just feel so sorry for him. He doesn't deserve to walk on this earth.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/04/21 02:47 AM
16

This is one of the most disgusting behavior I have ever read. Seriously, idk what I would have done if I were in her place. It enrages me so much, just reading this. He must have been a hell of an angel (or just really naive + low self esteem) for still trying to understand why he did this to her. This guy must rot in jail + all the other people that have been supporting him.

Yeaahh
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/04/21 06:39 PM

OMG I'm sorry that happened to you! Also, you don't have to explain yourself to someone about your dating preferences. There are guys who literally break up with their partners of 2 years after she discovers she had a cancer. I also read a thread in twitter, which asked, "guys will you still be with your girlfriend that has been raped" and MOST guys said NO. One even said I would ask her what she did to put herself in this situation and what she was doing without him?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/04/21 04:48 AM

Oh yeah, when I asked my ex we should break up, he said "we haven't even done it properly. At least be with me for 6 months. There is a saying in my culture that goes, "the grapes are sour" It comes from a short story (we all had this short story in kindergarten) One day a fox was roaming around in the fields when she came across a climber that held grapes. Fox tried a lot to reach the grapes, but it couldn't reach them. At the end, it got frustrated, and said, "huh. Forget it. These grapes are sour anyway" Its just because it can't reach the grapes, fox decided that the grapes are sour, even though she never tasted t…

I get annoyed too. Thats why I say my mom to not host any dinner parties. Its always men lounging and talking and women in the kitchen preparing. Its good that atleast my brother is also helpful and helps my mom a lot in serving, and my father always do prep for the stuff like shopping and chopping veggies, etc. In a lot of households I have seen women working round the clock and even the next day for cleanup when they have to organize a party.

Yeaahhh.. And where I live (Asia, don't wanna be specific) you just can't buy anything without bargaining. And bargaining for a good price is a skill, damn. I was so soft-spoken at that time I would literally say "Yes" to any price vendors or shopkeepers quoted. Taught myself how to bargain and communicate by observing other people.

Yeah... But now if you're an adult you can be that someone who is supposed to teach you 🤷🏻 Like people build an entire profession by learning things online, I'm sure you can learn basic life skills too 🤦🏻 I started living by myself when I was 15. I still hadn't had a chance to learn it all because I was usually busy with back to back tuitions. When I started living alone I recognized my shortcoming and taught myself everything. Its not that hard.

Yes, I do share a lot of my views on my social media. Once a guy replied to one of my stories that was related to women's issues and feminism, this was waayyyy before FDS. This guy had been a friend of mine, now we lived in different cities so didn't talk much. He had the audacity to reply to my story, " you know you should really do something productive with your life instead of Sharing all this stuff on social media." I obviously got angry because how dare he assume I haven't be doing anything…

My boyfriend is a really good guy but he is a bummer when it comes to sex I guess. He doesn't even know WHAT clit is, and we are in an LDR, but he doesn't know how to do sex talk. Most of his knowledge on sex comes from porn only I think, because he is not experienced (I'm his first) Now due to lockdown and all, we hadn't met for 8 months, and then due to our LDR, we haven't had sex for more than one year. After this lockdown I don't even feel that close, I don't feel like having sex with him an…

Yeah, and then they also use manipulation tactics, saying things like, "A guy who goes to the gym and has abs will definitely cheat on you. No man spent hours getting ripped only to date one girl" As if getting cheated on is our fault. My ex used to tell me that my worth is only till I turn 25. So I should focus on banging as many guys as I can/ or bag a "good" guy as soon as I can, because after 25, my dating life is over. Also named a girl over 25, who is a really smart woman and I used to look up to her and thought she was really awesome. He told about her, "do you see her ? Do you think anybody would like her now?" So fucking disgusting. I'm more ashamed of myself that I believed all that fucking shit.

Honestly, if they have been like this for all your life, please move out ( if you live with them) and try to distance yourself from them as much as possible. What I have noticed that now usually arranged marriages are less about marriage itself and more about status. Your parents don't have your best interests in mind if they have been forcing you since 16 when your possible counterpart would be 28 YO. That is just way too much. Arrange marriages are done in my community too, but I have noticed …

I did the same too. When I broke up with my ex, I was so depressed I didn't want to talk to anyone and doing anything seemed like a lot of effort. I literally made an account on dating apps because I "had" to talk to someone, like I forced myself to talk to someone, otherwise my thoughts would go on and on in circles. You don't have to explain to anyone what you're doing. If it is helping you move on, so be it. Just make sure you're safe and avoid rebound relationships. Hope you're doing okay :)

Why not carry pepper powder ? It is a very common ingredient in the kitchen. Also, a lot of self defense articles on my area say this specific thing: if someone comes to your home and attacks you, run to the kitchen. A lot of things over there can be used as a weapon. Pepper powder : hurt the eyes. Knives : we know the use of this, heavy frying pans/pots : can be used to hit hard with a force. Caution: Do hide other things that can also be used as a weapon. I'm short (5'3) and usually I have long hair which is the only reason people people didn't confuse me as a boy. My face and other features are pretty feminine and it wouldn't be hard to distinguish, but I usually wear boy t-shirts and joggers because they are far more comfortable. Also I keep my face covered usually. It feels great not to be harassed because of this habit of mine.

Okay so here is a query. I live in a very conservative society, but I have been "sex positive". By that, I mean I advice my friends to explore masturbation and figure out what they like, how they get pleasure because often female pleasure is ignored, like, sex over here is a tabboo topic, especially for women. While for men it is something they receive and women "give". Here, even sex slangs are also reffered to as "dena" and "lena", which literally translates to "giving" and "receiving". When a…
