If women don’t prefer abusive men, why are they more lenient with them than shy/introverted men? That could be a factor as well. It’s scientifically proven that attractive people are treated better in society and they get away with more. Both men and women favor more attractive people. It’s an unfortunate but true fact. But please don’t discredit what I said. There are many factors that go into the situation and it’s not as black and white as most people think. I can recommend a lot of great books if you want to learn more about this topic :) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/09/21 12:33 AM
If women don’t prefer abusive men, why are they more lenient with them than shy/introverted men?The part you are missing is she doesnt know he is faking it. All the men in front of her seem genuine. The abusive man has the upper hand over the other men because he knows what he is doing. He knows what to say, how to say it, what to do, and how to do it. That is the missing element. So at the time, since the abusive man is playing a game he is very skilled at, he can make himself look like a better partner than the guys actually looking for a real relationship. This isn't true for all, but t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/09/21 12:24 AM
If women don’t prefer abusive men, why are they more lenient with them than shy/introverted men?I cant fully speak to your student example because I wasn't present for it but a lot of people give in and accept societal standards of what it is to be a man. So there are men and women who believe men have to be macho, agressive etc. Also remember you are talking about high school students. They are still learning and their decision making processes aren't as advanced as an adult. They only know what they were taught by their family, friends, media etc. Ah the bad boy cliche. You aren't wrong,… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/09/21 12:05 AM
If women don’t prefer abusive men, why are they more lenient with them than shy/introverted men?If you are talking about a scenario similar to this one: A woman with an abusive ex meets a man who treats her better but goes back to her ex? There is a trauma bond that forms that is so hard to break. I understand this might not make a whole lot of sense to people who have never experienced abuse firsthand but it's all still very real nonetheless. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/09/21 11:53 PM
If women don’t prefer abusive men, why are they more lenient with them than shy/introverted men?Lmao I work with trauma survivors and study trauma. I can tell you it is not bull at all. But women and men experience the same situation differently and I do believe there has been a lot of men hurt by women stuck in cycles like this (as you can see in this thread). Their feelings are valid, I wasn't trying to make excuses or make light of their pain. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/09/21 11:52 PM
If women don’t prefer abusive men, why are they more lenient with them than shy/introverted men?I can’t speak for shy/introverted men but Abusive men are playing a game and know exactly what to do and say to get their partners to be attached to them. They pretend to be the perfect partner and once the love develops, they slowly change. By this time, the woman is in love and will begin to do what everyone in love does, make allowances for their partner. That perfect partner view remains in the woman’s mind as their partner’s true self so they hang onto that view of their partner and always … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/09/21 05:22 PM
