There is already a structure in place for custodial benefits, it is just not utilized for child support.

There is already a structure for this very thing, it is called representative payee. It should be very easy to apply this to CS. Why it is not already is baffling.

I'm surprised I haven't seen this before, but why not make child support a rep payee. Use the system for accountability that is already in place.

Congratulations on becoming a dad. It is overwhelming, this is normal, we all go through it. Can not stress enough to talk you your girlfriend about how you are feeling, just remember to not make it sound like you are blaming her. May I make a suggestion? Find someone to watch your kid at your house (ease for your daughter, not necessary) and get a hotel room for the night, you and your girlfriend. And sleep. No going out, no "date night", just fill your bellies and sleep. Don't even worry about…

It has nothing to do with not understanding the other, nor age or affinities - I myself am under 40 and a science nerd. I use to do this a lot. It comes from a person's prioritization of conflict avoidance, which is generally directly related to their conflict resolution skills. For someone that has not developed good conflict resolution skills will put avoidance first above honesty. Yes getting caught in a lie will yield larger conflict then the truth upfront, but that conflict is not avoidable…

Being falsely accused would not be as bad so long as the anonymity of the accused is maintained until conviction. This would go a long way towards preventing the damage of a false accusation and would be much easier to implement than criminalizing false accusations - not that I believe knowingly false accusations shouldn't be punished.

I don't think less girls wanting to be princesses is really a bad thing, but is the over-sexualized alternative that seems to be prevailing any better?

unfortunately, I cannot say I am shocked. That bill will hopefully actually do some good, and catch on with other states.

My wife does most of the cooking, so I clean up. Even on nights she doesn't cook, I still do the dishes. I don't love it, but I also don't mind it; it can be be a moment of peace if you let it.

It seems like there is a general assumption that the father is the only source of support (financial and otherwise) that a mother has access to. If the father opts out of responsibility, the mother still her family for support. If he wants out, she still has other options for support if she wants to keep the child and can't afford it on her own.

I have found that holding a door open for someone garners far more "thank you"s from men than women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
