I subscribe to both.. I think that there are large parts of this community that are arrogant douches that jerk each other off. There are also incredibly intelligent people who are committed to being better and humble people. I currently have this issue to. Over the past couple months I've just learned it's about how you view everything within your state of mind. This is the best redpill article i've read so far. I think negative attitudes about this sub come because of the "alpha" potion to this sub. There are people who straddle a line of Narcissism and Confidence (it's pretty hard to keep in check so it's natural). I understand saying that rubs people the wrong way here, but there is such thing as over confidence...

I think that the "strip her on any ability to act on her own" is a step far. The no mission, no drive is what I would attribute most to this to. Not all of this is completely on point in my opinion, but the nice guy thing is. Just to clarify for OP it's a spectrum so you don't have to not date girls/get numbers. It's about the confidence and understanding that you are worth more than any women you meet.
